Both TF and Lab have said it recent days it looks like they will put the club into liquidation.

Which means no more CCFC or below non league.

ACL are trying to put us into Admin so someone buys us on the cheap.

Whatever each's motivation is for taking the above action. Or how exactly we have got to this point.

Surely as a football fan of Coventry City you would now want the administration route.

So there is a chance of still having a football club to support.

The notion ACL are doing this for altruism is nonsense. Please don't insult people's intelligence

Well if you are talking black and white and it's either administration or liquidation then obviously we would all choose administration.

Don't think it is just black and white though and there are so many grey areas, but black and white it does look like it may well become.

But who would buy a club with no assets, continuing losses and the noose of FFP so you can't just buy your way out of it?

As ACL have stated, without investment in developing surrounding land then there is not even a share of the ground.

Now this has started the only 2 possibilities in my opinion are SISU pays up or we are ultimately liquidated.

With the current arrangement with ACL no businessman with half a brain will come anywhere near CCFC.

I said I don't care why they are doing it, so no notion.

You have repeatedly attacked anyone on here who has asked for SISU to go as they are effectively asking for liquidation and non league.

Now it is SISU offering that and ACL trying to offer administration.

So it seems now as a fan of CCFC there is only one choice admin please as oppose to liquidation by SISU

Do you think they would liquidate if they were offered a rent free period and the outstanding debt is wiped out?

SISU paying up is a third option.

However we will just end back here again as they will just pay off the minimum to avoid admin.

If ACL are desperate enough to take this action. Do you not think they will offer very favourable terms to induce a new investor?

I don't understand this no asset bit.
If you were to buy any club that owned its stadium you would buy it as a whole.
For example : Leicester (Figures are for example only)

Team value 20M
Stadium value 50M
Total spent £70

In Coventrys case
Team Value 10M (paid to CCFC owners)
Stadium Value 60M (Paid to ACL)
Total spent £70

Am I seeing this wrong?

In fact in Coventry case after Admin
Team Value 5M
Stadium Value 30M
Total spent £35M - Bargain

The stadium value will not go down significantly. The deal still looks ok though.

I agree mate however unfortunately their action does impact on the football club.

It does make players think wait till they come out if embargo to sign for them and risk missing out in other deals, no thanks.

Sign a new contract with Coventry that they may not honour - no thanks

Stay as a manager of Coventry or jump at the first opportunity - ill jump.

Our owners does not seem to comprehend the negative impact fighting a propaganda war has on our club

What I think doesn't matter. ACL are the ones claiming the only way to get a share of the ground is to develop the land.

I doubt it. The right investor will already have an idea about the potential to develop the area as in the original plan. They will also want to take control of the stadium at some point. The right investor may get concessions along the way.

In all of this I think Higgs charity et al will want to get rid of their interest in the stadium as soon as possible. It has distracted them from their main purpose. The same for any intersts that CCC has at the moment. They would gladly have someone pay off the debt. Not sure this will happen of course.

ACL and the council won't let the stadium go for £30m for a start I think £50m would be closer to the mark but even if they did are you seriously expecting someone to come in a throw that sort of money at CCFC just to get control?

That's assuming someone is willing to take on a loss making business with virtually no assets. As the football expert on CWR said the morning,he wouldn't touch CCFC with a bargepole. Then Administartion will quickly be followed by liquidation anyway.People blindly supporting ACL better hopt they have got some 'mugs' lined up to continue to pour money down a blackhole.
If SISU who are always portrayed a ruthless cost cutting, penny pinching merchants have lost circa £45 million in 4 to 5 years, what difference to people realistically expect new owners to make.Gates aren't suddenly likely to double wages/'rent'/admin costs will still have to be paid. The huge question still remains ,who in their right mind would takeover CCFC.
Let's hope you are right and a knight on a white horse suddenly comes over the horizon,if not...................well that doesn't bear thinking about.

Maybe with ACL desperate to get someone in.

There will be someone prepared to do business with ACL as well as buying CCFC. Be it negotiating decent terms or buying out ACL etc etc.

Do you think SISU would do what is right by CCFC?....Not a snowball in hells' chance.
They want everything for nothing. They can go "Piss in the wind" for all I care! The sooner that shower of shit go the better, and let us start over again!

Well let's hope you are right. It's the maybe bit which worries me and a lot of other fans,if new owners come in great, but what if SISU really are the only show in town.I simply have zero confidence in the local council, based on what they have done to the City of Coventry over the past decades. The centre of Coventry retail mix consists of poundshops, charity shops, betting shops oh and empty shops. They have turned the City into an utter souless dump, and having wrecked the City of Coventry it is a real worry they will now wreck our football club.

Have you ever asked yourself why(Now claiming £60m btw) attendances have been slashed by well over a half?
Have you not thought that ACL would even GIVE the Arena to a new investor as long as they "Do right" by CCFC? This is something I've been thinking about since reading the lastest on the "Stand off" Imho, it is feasible that CCC might sell to new owners at approx £25-30m just to "Piss off SISU".....Anything is possible!

I agree with you on a lot of that.

I have personally witnessed the council attempt do deals to revamp the city centre.

Wine bars and restaurants pedestrianising the burgess and attempting to link broadgate to trinity street via a fully green pedestrianised area.

They seem to hit a wall of people fighting their plans as the people on the whole do not seem to want that new modern look.

Then when they do seem to get somewhere the businesses do their research and become jittery about whether they will get the pool of customers from Coventry wanting what they are offering.

However I also have zero confidence in the direction SISU have taken our football club. So I am open to new owners.

I think they can only be as bad as SISU at worse.

A bit OT, but there is nothing 'new and modern' about the council's obsession with pedestrianisation. All it has served to do is create a series of poorly linked retail plazas framed by appalling buildings that are bleak and windswept with no foot traffic after 5pm.

These are the people we are meant to entrust our football club to?

We have always been blighted by low calibre politicans making shit decisions in this city. Like back in the 70s, when the then looney left council rejected the opportunity to partner with Birmingham City Council on the building of the NEC, a project they described as 'elitist'.

The projects never get completed as the wine bars restaurants etc do their research and don't move in. They realise the majority of the people in Coventry won't use them.
Similar to when waitrose opted for kenilworth over the city centre and primark came in.

Where as the likes of the old bobby's night club continues to do a roaring trade and the Coventry cross. McDonald's and KFC survive.

So yes agree they have failed.
