Made the decision that I don't care a while ago. Still trying to trick myself into believing it. I'm up and down on it.
There's more important things in life so I'm not about to risk anything.

The big one for me though is the phrase 'it's only a game'. A couple of years ago I'd bite your nose of if you said that to me. But it is only a game really isn't it.

Still 100% on England games though. Even qualifiers.

The only thing I slightly differ on is England. I am feel pretty much the same about them as about CCFC, and football on the whole. England to me are the CCFC of the international world, one trophy years ago, and no success ever since. If an international team could have an owner England's would end up being a hedge fund.

I have lost my passion for it.

There is such little hope, that's the killer. Fisher fills everyone with rage and seems to revel in being the hate figure and plays it like a wwe wrestler, just increases the anger amongst the fans. Then the clubs communication, social media and website are dire, should feel like a link to the club but it's just too amateur. Then you have the lack of support from the council and Wasps taking over the infrastructure that was built for the club. What a kick in the balls that continues to be. We know sisu will never build a stadium of our own, we know Ryton will be sold and we'll end up renting something far inferior. We aren't going to have much of a side left to take on Wycombe to get to Wembley, something that the fans richly deserve. Anyone heard anymore red bull rumours? Cos that's the only hope that keeps me going. That someone with a lot of money takes pity on us and restores some shred of pride to the club.

^This. I feel so disconnected from it (living 120 miles away no doubt has something to do with that) that i find our current situation annoying but not painful.

yup. like hill said above a few years ago i would have said something like you aint true cov fans etc but now i see it from other side

thats why i now dont care if protests lead to club fines or deductions etc. i am all for anything that leads to a resolution. and im well aware it could be a negative resolution

This is one of the reasons I have said that although it isn't a protest and although it won't get SISU out that it should at least be a massive sky blue party at a game. Even if there is nothing to celebrate at the match it could be celebrating CCFC.

Good example is some of the threads on here, people can bicker all day every day but then there is the odd thread where people have a bit of a laugh and a joke and get on when they would otherwise be bickering about some shite. It doesn't make SISU go, but it's a better feeling.

I phoned up the Samaritans but when I said I was a Cov City fan they put the phone down on me !

I think if the club were to fold i would actually find it something of a relief. I know thats a terrible thing to say and of course i want a positive resolution if one is possible but i do genuinely feel that having no club would be better than the current situation. At least then i could go and watch my local team and just enjoy the day out without really caring about the result.

I've even had that feeling too. Like a bad relationship you stay in because of the kids ! But when you've only ever supported one club for fifty years that's it where do you go ?

I've been resigned to relegation since Xmas; the awful football and the lack of goals have made it inevitable.
I am a season ticket holder and continue to attend although it is a bit of a drag sometimes. I've been to a couple away games this year including Charlton which although a defeat was a good day out in terms of joint club protest. The marching with Charlton fans demonstrated the togetherness of the fans...and the pigs were great although mine were confiscated at the turnstile.
This sort of protest works for a while but unfortunately peaceful protest can be easily ignored. I'm not advocating manning the barricades but somehow we need to do something that makes people sit up. Yes protest at efl and fa headquarters and at sisu hq but I would also like to see some form of demo that aimed to delay kick off...not sure how but something that tried to delay players and officials getting to the ground early.
As for division 4 next season....I will probably attend with my son...although I fear it might be our last in the football league. Or even our last as a club. I've been going for 51yrs...if there is a death I will be there to witness and mourn the passing of my sky blues.

That's the thing. I watch Rochdale occasionally with my 2 best mates and i go and see my local non-league side and i enjoy the games for what they are but it's not the same, They are not MY teams. But i think i've reached a point where i don't even enjoy it when City win now. There is always some other rubbish going on to take the shine off.

The owners have killed it for me personally . prem or div 4 doesn't really bother me to an extent. however , as long as there is no progress being made , i'll treat it as a [as and when pass time ]

What would be great would be a sky blue party at somewhere like the memorial park, get 20k there, a few cans and basically turn the day into everything sky blue. This could be instead of a home game but would fully represent not just a boycott but demonstrate the love we all have for the club. I think something like this could bring all fans together and also take the anger people have against each other.

Feel a lot the same. See Villa are signinh Hogan (so Stevenson to Brentford for undisclosed - to be replaced by ?Hammond on trial?). Willis will probably go. I heard Trish Adudu on the radio talking to a football agent, asking how he would sell our club to one of his players. Great (if sad) reply, which shook Trish up - basically called us a basket case because of lack of vision and leadership. No ground, no training ground etc, and any player coming would be 'literally sent to Coventry'. Sad - but spoke as most supporters feel

Our decline makes me miserable and spoils my life. Don't get to many games (last one was the 1-0 home win over Port Vale, Maddison's winner on return sending me loopy) but think about Cov all Friday evening and then the weekend.
Every defeat puts me in a foul mood and has done since September 1986. What is this spell that football has over us?
Obviously I should get a grip. There's plenty more going on in my life.
But the sense of rightness and satisfaction that a win brings, the promise it holds of progress and going in the right direction: that's sweet liquor.

If we sink to Division 4, we will be in a lower place than when I first started to support the team back in the early 1960's.
That means all the greatness that has come since, two promotions as champions of division 3 and champions of division 2, will be thrown away.
Three relegations will leave us having gone backwards.
And who is to say that is where it will end. Under these owners, I think we will struggle in whatever league we are in.
For myself, I will just follow the games and hope for a good result every week regardless of where we are.

It's pretty meh when you're supporting them from afar. Still listening to the evening kick offs on the way to work.

Having said that, I'm pretty miffed at everyone involved. SISU, past managers, shit players, the council, the Coventry Telegraph and even the fans. The lack of unity is probably the most depressing. Many teams have been relegated over the years but I'm sure none have been so divisive.
