Tried to settle it in my mind on drive home, but think it'll take fixtures to come out to let it sink in.

No surprise. I was saying why it could be good for us to go down months ago so i almost couldn't care less. They deserve what they got.

These small, surburb of Newcastle fans are very, very witty and inventive aren't they.

Just going to keep posting the same reply.

I worked with at least half a dozen Sunderland fans at the time and not one of them complained, moaned, felt cheated or even mentioned that game ... ever to me or any other City fan!

A grudge fir 35 years? Sad, pathetic and shows just how dumb you lot truly are.

What makes me laugh is they must think we are heartbroken and they are making it worse. They are about 11 years too late . Or is it that this silly little thing has only just been invented. I have a mate who is a Sunderland fan, season ticket holder age 28 .His words to me about 6 months ago were " I never realised some of our older fans had this thing about Coventry, what's it all about wasn't t it some game that sent us down in the 80's?"

Basically some of their fans have noticed us struggling this year and decided to start some campaign. You can tell by the nature of the posts that they are kids.

Sunderland, we were gutted in 2001, you missed your chance.

Drawing at home to Peterbrough on the back of our first away win of the season at Hull. This was a must win game and was more important than Bristol away. We were relying on our home results with the away form being so dreadful all season.

For me the team bottled this game and everyone since. We have won 2 points from a possible 15, for a team who should have been fighting for their lives I am majorly disappointed.

Fair play to Bristol City though they have stood up to be counted with an admirable 11 points in the same period of time.

It was always an uphill battle but following that Saturday against Peterborough I knew in my heart of hearts that this was going to be a major blow to us maintaining our place in the Championship.

I suppose as many fans i expected a relegation fight from the start, but still a very sad day for the club that i have supported for many years. One thing i can say is what makes it a little easier for myself is that i know that there is nothing i can do for coventry city apart from being there on the terraces supporting them week in and week out something i know in my mind that i have done.
