Anyone seriously negotiating to be based at the Ricoh will bring this farce to an end
That did cross my mind, although I don't think SISU would come running back even with the threat of a breakaway club.
It might even give them an excuse to take the club somewhere else that needs a team.

I would think only if the club is liquidated or if it turns out the move is 100% permanent and even then it wouldn't quite be the same.
Pretty much this, but I wouldn't be involved at all. That would be me done.
Fuck off and do it now if you want. We can't sustain 100 on the hill so a breakaway club is a non starter. Two questions
1. Could you support a breakaway team to play at the Ricoh if the club remain in Northampton for 5-10 years?
2. How long should we 'wait and see' before forming this new club?
For me it's
1. Yes.
2. Form one for the start of next season.

Why would anyone support a breakaway club at this moment in time?
We have potentially the best team and manager for a long time. The play offs are definately possible.
A breakaway club playing at the Ricoh would no doubt be paying rent to ACL, as they could not afford ownership of the Ricoh.
I have no idea how this will all end, or whether plans for a new stadium are pie in the sky.
Suggest reviewing at the end of the season, as a lot can happen. ACL/CCC may cave in, Judicial review may go in our favour
Ahem, forgive me on this, ' our favour'. SISU couldn't care less about 'our' club. They want the stadium. They want land. Why would anyone support a breakaway club at this moment in time?

Our favour? Don't you mean sisu's favour?
It sure doesn't feel like our club anymore. Our, meaning CCFC

I think the part of me that wants to form a breakaway club wants to do so as it's the only way to defeat SISU.
The threat of it would cause them some real panic. They have no answer to that one.
Couldn't do it. For me forming a new club just loses the history. When I was a kid and learning about football, my dad started getting me into CCFC and I was drawn in by obviously going to games but the history of the club. Obviously not winning tons of Silverware but where we played, players we had, certain moments like the FA Cup win, like the famous free kick, when Huckerby went on that run against Utd, when we won at Villa the first time so on so on. Forming a new club just wipes that away. Cant do it.
Surely "the club" is nothing more than what the fans feel it is? The collective crowd is the only constant in the history of Coventry city.
I understand your feelings I really do.
The history of the club is important to me as well. You have to look at it though and ask, are we the same club that was founded in 1883?
Since then we've changed names, moved stadiums several times, different players, different owners, different operating company, different badge, and now moved to a completely different town!
