Let's just imagine this investment rumour is real and Joe Bloggs bungs in let's say £3million and stresses it's specifically for players or you get nowt I s that allowed under these new income rules and if so how much would we be allowed to spend on the team ? I suppose another way of asking the question is if we sold a player for let's say 2millon can all that be spent on players ?

Anyone can put in as much as they like as long as it's equity. Another option is to put the £3m in as sponsorship. Might raise a few eyebrows as the going rate is 50-100k for L1 shirt sponsorship but I don't think they can actually do anything about it.

- money put in can be applied to SCMP if it is an issue of new shares or outright gift still subject to 60% rule I believe
- Player transfers count (after deducting agents fees etc) towards SCMP subject to 60% rule

I think theres a lot of people clinging to a very thin rumour of investors. Theres nothing to substantiate any of this and because we are so desperate to get rid of sisu and have light at the end the tunnel we are getting carried away. Unfortunately being a sky blue im used to being let down and i think this is just another white elephant in the sorry history of our club

Well it kind of Identifies an anomaly with the 60 % SCMP system as currently we are somewhere around 40% IIRC, bloody memory (Stupot07 may remember).
The only way we could currently hit 60%would be to scrap or possibly downgrade the Academy
In theory if turnover was around five million as forecast a further investment of£2M should be able to go into the squad and put us at around the 60% ceiling.

Could this investment be connected to the proposed Newcastle bid for Callum Wilson.

Let's say by today's over inflated valuations, that Wilson is worth £20 million.

Our muted 15% sell on clause would net us a cool £3 million.

Just saying

There is not going to be a single penny invested in this shower of shite

Can't really disagree with this at all. Our owners are operating a NOPM policy of their own. If anyone suggests someone may consider putting money in whilst SISU are in charge then they'd be better off paying off my mortgage instead and I'll take them for a big slap up dinner. That's more than they'd get back otherwise.

No business person with any sense would invest while we have the current owners. My guess as above is the sale of Calum Wilson and our sell on percentage.
I doubt much (if any) will be invested back into the playing budget, but it will be amusing to see the usual defence and diverting blame from our owners on here which will take our minds off the league position for a few days.

City fans are so desperate to see the back of SISU they will hang on to any rumour or Simon Gilbert pseudo cryptic tweet hoping it might be light at the end of the tunnel. At the moment there is not even a tunnel.

Has there been talks about Newcastle signing Wilson? :S

Haven't anything here in Bournemouth, and I don't know why he'd drop a league, unless it's a summer transfer?

ANY money gained from sell on clauses from either Callum Wilson or James Maddison or and futre sales of players ie Jordan Willis will NOT BE invested anywhere near this football club/squad/team. FACT.

There was a Coventry telegraph article today suggesting that Rafa has Wilson in his sights and that a 15% sell on clause could be beneficial to Coventry City

If they sold Ryton and got the sell on money from Wilson and then piss off that would do for me.

In all fairness you can spend what the fuck you like... just bung somebody an envelope full of money to turn a blind eye.

Beneficial to sisu. Not the club or team
