Their pitch is a hell of a lot better than the surface at StAndrews.
The pitch had a big impact on our press that day. Brentford couldn't cope with the surface.
Interesting that in the games where we just got rid, banged it forward and picked up pieces or set pieces, we won three on the trot.
Back to a slightly more footballing style last week and we struggled....
Who'd take a season of industrial style football next year if it yielded better results??

I don’t think it was ‘more footballing’ and not do I think we were really playing much anti football before. It’s more been to do with tempo and intensity which we couldn’t maintain after 3 high energy games in a week

He’s shite headless chicken couldn’t stand him when he was here eother

Keogh maybe slow and passed it now, but anyone that didn't realise he was a good player for us is a bit of a fool. That said Tavares confidence must be up after the game in midweek, so might be nice to see him come on for the last half hour and give Keogh a bit of a run around.

Totally agree - but their defenders (in general) are not up to passing football. Further forward, they are a bit better at it (although i see Campbell up front is out injured). It will be interesting to se what team MR puts out (nice to see us play without pressure, and have a real go). Would look a lot easier on the eye with 5 away wins in the bag (having only picked up 2 just a couple of weeks ago or so)

Robins will have to determine if we have the energy to press high up the pitch.
If we don't and we still try that approach then if you are correct about them higher up the pitch, we will play right into their hands.
Let's hope they are feeling a bit of pressure today to get some sort of a result.
I hope he picks the strongest side possible today out of respect to the teams in the relegation mixer, although you could argue that we have earned the right to pick whatever end of season team we like!!

So glad we are safe. But slight downside means I couldn’t give a fuck about this game now. Roll on the summer and roll on next season.

Enjoy.
I still want a win though, would be good for confidence going into next season
