It's not nitpicking. You're mocking the Telegraph for fabricating or embellishing the story as it's without foundation; I'm telling you that as he's favourite in the betting - as you mention in your first post - it is with foundation. Our manager is favourite for a vacant role. That's news worthy in the sports section, surely?

Who would want it more to the point. You would need to have a screw loose to join this shitfest. I'd go for Warnock too though. If he walks, who would be the best choice of replacement??? I favour McDermott or (dare I say it) Neil Warnock !!!
(body armour and blast helmet on.................bring on the abuse, bitches:slap
It's not like they said 'pressley emerges as an early bookies favourite"..

He's favourite in the betting due to press speculation for the same reason wilder was favourite last time,
I see. So, you've got some demographic evidence to support that he's favourite with Sky - a bookie of national prominence - due to an article in a local Coventry paper; and this is all due to the people of Binley and Earlsdon 'lumping on'?
A few on here will be pleased then.
Let's get Thorn back.
Not sure SP will be anywhere near this. I predict he won't be our manager come the end of the season but suspect it will not be because he's moved upwards. Just think he may become a scapegoat for a much weaker squad and poor results as the season progresses. Hope I'm wrong though.

....if the worst happens, my vote would be for Thorn. He was the best manager we've had, goign back to Jimmy Hill

I agree with this, and have in fact predicted to other City fans.. if the worst happens, my vote would be for Thorn. He was the best manager we've had, goign back to Jimmy Hill
Sarcasm right?
Err no.......
I hope so CJ.
I genuinely can't tell if people are serious or not
You could argue that Thorn set the way for Pressley, blooding players early and suffering for their mistakes. Pressley then reaped the rewards once they'd matured.
Can I judge Thorn and Robins by their signings? Because they faced similar constraints. This must be obvious, why else would the players who do well want to leave asap?
What about Robins?
