Come off it, the Ricoh isn't a cauldron and a bit of booing isn't something he's not used to.

NOTTS County are giving key trio Alan Judge, Neal Bishop and Dean Leacock intensive treatment to try and get them fit to face Coventry City.
None of the three were in the Magpies squad in their 4-1 defeat to Sheffield United in second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Meadow Lane on Wednesday night.
And boss Keith Curle said they were not rested – but were injured.
Judge limped off against Carlisle United last Saturday, after being kneed in the backside, Leacock also picked up a knock at Brunton Park and Bishop has a rib problem.
They have all played every game in League One so far this season, helping Notts up to fifth place after 12 games, but Curle is sweating on their fitness for the trip to the Ricoh Arena.
"I have no idea if they will be back," he said.
"There was not one player rested for the Trophy tie. Everybody that didn't play was due to injury.
"They will be getting intensive treatment morning and afternoon."
Nothing about Hughes though!

I realise it's a contentious issue for Coventry with Hughes, with the man who died being a cov fan, but I would sincerely hope that he would keep his head down if he features against you. I'd be very disappointed if he tried to wind the crowd up etc as it's a bit different playing you, to playing other teams, who boo his every touch all game (except Oldham)
I do think you have to remember however, that it is not his choice whether or not he travels, whether he starts, or whether he comes on as a sub. It's the managers decision and Hughes will do as he is asked to I'm sure.

I think the most likely scenario is he'll be on the bench and will come on for the last 20/30 mins if we're chasing a goal.

Last season I went with my wolves supporting mate to a wolves v notts friendly. The wolves fans were giving him lots of stick, he started doing sarcastic applauds to the crowd.

Think the Wolves thing comes from him being a WBA fan and player tho doesn't it? He will wind the crowd up and play with a big grin on his face and even celebrate in front of away fans if he scores when they give him the most stick. He says he sees it as no more than a bit of banter and taking it on the chin.
Playing in Cov against you is different though as it's possible members of the family he hurt could be in the crowd and I think he should keep his head down no matter how much abuse he gets.

i agree, bellamy got away scot free against us. not the same situation i admit but the poisonous dwarf did have a go at all cov fans. city fans wont do anything apart from a few boos and as visiting pie said hes had it everywhere

Between 1 and 1.5k I imagine. Think we took nearly 1.3k to Sheff Utd. Be disappointed if it's below a thousand.

Thats normal though isnt it? We're always giving schools, kids groups, and even Uni students tickets in bulk. They used to read the school names out at half time but havent heard them do it in a while. Usually give link it in with the shirt waving (big shirt over centre circle that is; not just your usual replica shirt

With the greatest of respect, it's not a case of Hughes keeping his head down or hoping for restraint from the home fans.
This man caused death by virtue of his own choices.
This isn't a case of a touch of over-sensitivity. This man ended another's life. He didn't push in front of someone in a queue or say marginally defamatory. He killed.
You may point to the fact he's done 'his time'; and that's without question. But this city is occupied by the living relatives of those left behind by the man his actions and subsequent cowardice deprived them of. His friends. His work colleagues.
Do you or I have the right or expectation to think or hope such people should show restraint now this man is 'free'? No.
For that reason, if there's any slither of decency from the club or the player, he won't even venture near the city today.
And this coming from a fan of the club who gave Marlon King his 'second chance'. But their relative indiscretions aren't even worthy of the remotest of comparison

No only did he kill, he ran off and left all three people for dead, cowardly self interest that can NEVER be forgiven.
He really took away three lives away that day, yet has his full privileged footballing life after was it three years in prison!

In fairness MMM I never said anything about how you Cov fans should act. My comment was based on how I think HUGHES should act if he does travel. Obviously I don't know at this moment if he will or not.
