This'll be like Newcastle playing at Sport Soccer Land or whatever it was that time, nobody's going to start using it.

It wont be that radical, but the Warwickshire Bears FC would well be on the cards !

More owners who dont understand football using the "I saved the club from administration" line to allow them to do whatever they want.

well right now it is Otium entertainment Group Ltd trading as CCFC....... a name change would not be that difficult just needs league approval or famous discretion.

There is nothing been said that indicates they are planning to change the name however

Shocking. The only surprise is our fantastic owners didn't come up with such a ludicrous decision like this first.

I'd imagine that is already the name of the University sports teams at Warwick. If not, they've definitely missed a trick.

The Ultimate Frisbee team here (no idea) are called the Bears. Otherwise we've got the Warwick Wolves at American football and the Panthers in ice hockey.

I suppose back in the day, you were proud of becoming a 'city' rather than being referred to as a town however i do hope we are not going all american!

Ah. I'm at the University of Essex and our flag is 3 swords, so all of our sports teams are the Essex Blades (bit too Sheffield for my liking, but there you go). Thought somewhere like Warwick would be the same

Hull Tigers 5 - 0 Mansfield Stags
Brighton Seagulls 1 - 3 Crystal Palace Eagles
Derby Rams 2 - 1 Sunderland Black Cats

I just hope this doesn't end up with all clubs becoming americanised, could you imagine all the 92 league clubs 'rebranding' themselves.

Don't get me wrong I like the brand names in the States, it works for them. Just not here. That's me though bit of a traditionalist.

I wish this was all we had to worry about...I'd have our name changed to anything to get rid of Fishcake and Co and have our City back :jerkit:

Quarter finals

Cardiff Dragons 7 - 0 Watford Hornets
Wolverhampton Wolves 5 - 0 Sheffield Wednesday Owls
Crystal Palace Eagles 3 - 1 Derby Rams
Hull Tigers 5 - 0 Norwich Canaries

Semi Finals

Hull Tigers 3 - 2 Crystal Palace Eagles
Wolverhampton Wolves 1 - 4 Cardiff Dragons

Final

Cardiff Dragons 3 - 2 Hull Tigers

*Cardiff Dragons disqualified for being a fictional creature, therefore Hull Tigers win.

What's all the fuss about?

Not advocating a name change obviously, but a few years back Loaded magazine had a spoof hypothetical knock out tournament where the creature on the club crest represented the club and we won!!

Beat Millwalls Lion in the final if I remember rightly..

SCR.. like QPR... One of which has a management team that has avoided all tax liabilities for a considerable time... the other has Harry Redknapp? (allegedly)

Back in the day our own JH tried to change our name to Coventry Talbot but was told by the FL to piss off ( That was when the authorities had rules that they adhered to )

"We have dropped the AFC as it is something which has become redundant" - Ehab Allam.

So the words Football Club are redundant... That just about sums up the modern game. So what is it, if not a football club - Hull Tigers soccer franchise?
