for the first time ever in 30 plus years i wish we lose tonight. Its a tin pot competition that no one cares about and if we lose it should force mv to resign. Clearly the shambolic performance sunday hasnt worked unless hes been told to stay as its the cheap option

I can understand why you feel that way but got to agree with covcity4life that I'd love to win this trophy. Even if it is a shit competition or whatever, for a day at least it would spare the club of the damn misery surrounding it. However, if you go on that Facebook Coventry Fans group it seems like you're ridiculed for actually supporting your CCFC

I want our team to win. It must be especially hard for the young players who have developed through the academy. The lack of leadership isn't helping them fulfil their potential and help the club.

Back in 1993 we played Man U at home, Nan U were battling with Villa for the title (I hated Villa at the time, not bothered now) went to the game wanting Man U to win, to try to ensure Villa weren't champions, within a few minutes of KO back to wanting Cov to win, we lost 1-0 in the end. The result tomorrow night will have little bearing on MV's future

That's nothing. You are right - it is a tinpot comp and that's why I was delighted we got thrashed by Crewe in the semi 1st leg a couple of seasons ago. I have stated my reasons for this previously but I must admit to guilt feelings for 'denying' young supporters a day out at the big stadium.

There are far too many interruptions to the league schedule, it does my head in. Football should be a once a week experience at a regular time.

Right now it's like that Donovan song: "First there is a league game then there is no league game then there is".

I don't know that one. Having said that, his other one is more apt for this thread....

"You give me 1 good reason to leave me, i'll give you 10 good reasons to stay"

I understand what you mean, it matters not if we don't win or progress in this cup what matters is League 1 survival..A day out at Wembley would mean absolutely fuck all if we was to be relegated
