Yes, and my point to you and others was to correct the assertion that Dennis Wise was matchfit, which was inaccurate, simply fit.And I maintain that....given the reasons I've repeated.
Different players, different leagues, different styles, different formations, different technology ....and different decades.
Yes, and my point to you and others was to correct the assertion that Dennis Wise was matchfit, which was inaccurate, simply fit.
Joe Cole has eluded to poor advice and conditioning programmes have affected him.
Couple that with possible genetic factors between different sportsmen may explain part of the problem.
Personally I don't think advances over a decade are that huge, yet sure there will have been gains, I believe I read somewhere that Chelsea were performing a type of dialysis on players, cleaning players blood, now that is a development, whether a good one or not who knows.

In League One are you sure?
I bet I'm not the only one that can't take you seriously sometimes.
10 years ago at least one of these folk was named Alan.

Is this reason Cole was brought in , ah that explains everything.

True. I was watching the Wycombe vs Villa match on BT Sport and all Wycombe players (and presumably those from Villa) were wearing GPS tracking devices and everything.I hazard a guess at yes. If they're doing it in the second tier in the US, it's reasonable to assume they're doing it in the third tier in England.
How did ProZone work then?
Wasn't that more for stats than monitoring fitness?
While I doubt the actual fitness work itself has changed a huge amount, after all there is a limit to how many new things you can come up with, the technology for tracking and monitoring has improved. You can get trackers that go in boots, our team where those vests that measure things (heart rate and the like I would guess).
The more data you have the more you can personalise the training.
Yes that is obvious.
The notion that you are unable to compare a player from 2016 to one in 2006 is laughable though

Yeah but you and dumber are the sort to sit, pointing and laughing at condensation running down the inside of a window on a damp day so the fact that you find it laughable doesn't really count for anything especially given your dismissive nature.
For the second time. Once for Grendel, now for you.
I said you can compare what ever you want. The media loves doing it. In my opinion, it's not valid, given all the criteria I've outlined.

I did ask if you attended the Bury game - did you?
Fair enough. Perhaps in abother decade the game will be played at such a pace that we won't even be able to watch it. Who knows.
I asked you why JC ruined the team. I've even answered question you asked as a reply to the aforementioned question. You explain how JC ruined the team and I'll answer your question latest attempt at diversion.
How's that for a deal.

A criteria no one but you and Tony believes.
Bye bye

To start, I agree, this thread would have ended months ago if gender would give a straight answer to a simple question.
I don't agree with you on comparing players 10 yrs apart though. If you were comparing Messi and George best, fair enough, the game has completely changed; any comparisons are completely subjective.
A 10 yr difference though, the game has certainly evolved, but not enough to render comparisons irrelevant. There'd actually be a very strong argument for English football being stronger 10 yrs ago than it is today.

Oh dear - not one of the 6 you can afford then
Don't worry about my finances just answer the question you've kept dodging for day's now and been asked by umpteen different posters.

If you're not playing for internet points you have no place on this forum! You've been here long enough, you should know this by now.I'm not playing Internet points or sides. You might need help, I don't.
Learn to deal with me, it'll make your life a lot easier, unless, of course, you live for this stuff....which given your display today, I think is closer to the truth.

If we were playing for internet points I'd have been relegated 4 times by now and be plying my trade in the lower reaches of non-league football. If you're not playing for internet points you have no place on this forum! You've been here long enough, you should know this by now.
