I believe It would not of suited the owners cause for them to have done what they are doing playing in the Championship.
So I think we were deliberately relegated, so they could begin this charade.
In order to do this, they left a weak manager in control, starved him of any real funds and sold important players against his wishes.
SISU have no interest in football what-so-ever, make no mistake about that.
You honestly believe this?
I think they just cut costs and then crossed their fingers we'd cling on to our place in the Championship by our finger nails.
I do think there was a point however when they could see we were all but doomed and did very little to try and alleviate the situation and improve our prospects of survival.
Deliberate relegation though? No. I don't believe that for a single second.
Post of the year...brilliant stuff

Why thank you, when do I receive my award?
p.s. if it's a season ticket you can shove it where the sun don't shine
it wasnt deliberate, but it was self imposed. At the time they thought they could maintain revenues, whilst cutting costs . A non football mind in a football world
Can we get some sort of IQ test installed into the signing up process Nick? Cheers.

Now I may be being a little thick here, but what's an IQ test?
Although this sounds like complete madness and totally unbelievable, I am not sure what could be true anymore.
If you recall, a few weeks ago someone revived an old thread from years ago where someone suggested CCFC may go into admin and end up playing in another city, at the time it was considered unbelievable and people scoffed at the suggestion, yet it appears it was a prophetic comment.
So although this theory sounds crazy, the only people on this board that know are those employed by SISU.

I'll be honest I am surprised that more people haven't started thinking on the same lines as the OP's post.
John, I think what Sisu actually tried to achieve was a suitable and sustainable business model, obviously when they took over they allowed Ranson to continue the business model that was already implemented in the hope that it would bring success, we all know it didn't.
From there on they have adopted by cutting costs and utilising running the business with the money that they have generated during each season, hence the promoted youth in Pressley's squad, but Thorn (who wasn't great for much) also tried the same tactic. Unfortunately for AT the Championship was a step to far to bleed the youth into.
Had all of this summer's past antics come while they were in the Championship then I believe they would have sold up because the Club would have been worth nearer to their estimates.

My thoughts are much the same as yours but I was just stating that anything could be possible as so many strange things have come to pass since SISU took over the club. SISU are a private equity company so the way they do business does not adhere to normal football principles.
Depends on how many brothers and sisters he's got I suppose.
