I think we could win this league we are missing a good solid keeper with experience, no disrespect to Allsop or Burge but an old head between the sticks and I think we potentially have a winning formula. Both keepers will have good and bad days but I feel we're pretty solid everywhere else so some stability there is all we are missing. Also it's been a pretty crazy couple of weeks in a very good way, Elvis hasn't left the building to the point where he has committed his future to the the Sky Blues not Huddersfield or anywhere else, we're back in Cov and for once we have a great team with a strong bench so let's stop moaning and support the boys big time! I really think that we have it in us to be winners this year.

I'd settle for promotion but think we can get that despite us having the devil himself in Allsop in goal.

I think winning the league is a bit too far to us, a lot will depend on January (losing mcqoid and nouble), and also injuries. An injury to someone like fleck, o'brien or one of the back 3 will hit us hard.

Let's try and stay in the top 6, and see where we are come feb. I definitely think too 6 is a real possibility.

Really think we need a commanding keeper.
Just keep our feet on the ground at the moment and hope we still have some firepower come January.

I agree re. the keepers. Haven't seen a game yet where I'm not shitting myself every time the opposition get a decent cross in. Thank god the defense seem to be getting their act together.

We dont have a good enough striker(s) to win the league.

Wilson or Clarke in this team and we'd be right up there.

dont wanna jump on the bandwagon, but 2/7 goals being the keepers fault is a high percentage

Well Willis has also been at fault for at least two goals, as has Webster. Should we replace them in the defence too or should we get behind a defence that's kept nearly half the amount of clean sheets as we did for the entirety of last season in just 9 games?

Allsop has been at fault for one goal. The one at Barnsley. That free kick by hourihane was a quality strike

I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. We had an equally good start last season (remember we wiped out the 10 point penalty really quickly). All it takes is a string of draws/defeats and we are back in middle table. We have hardly been dominationg our opponents and have yet to win by more than one goal. Our goal difference is the lowest of the top clubs. A number of loanees will exit in January. I'm still seeing a mid-table position as most likely with relegation as likely as promotion.

I doubt anyone has had a tougher opening set of fixtures than us though. We've played quite a few of the most fancied teams.

Of our 7 games, 4 or 5 were against some of the most fancied teams (MK Dons, Barnsley, Sheff Utd, Swindon, Yeovil) and we haven't played any of the current bottom 8.

When I saw the fixture list I thought we were going to really struggle with the tough start.

All true. But we usually play better against the top teams and slip up against the unfancied teams. I expect that trend to continue. I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong and hope we thrash a few of the bottom teams 3-0 and 4-0.

In order to win the league I feel we would require:

1. New RWB who could be more attacking in the final 3rd of the pitch. Clarke could then be good cover for the RWB and the 3 CB's

2. New GK

3. Forward with an excellent (current & consistent) goals to games ratio

4. A Composed Defensive midfielder to replace Connor Thomas who could then be cover for Fleck and Jim OB.

4 players would get us there can SISU afford the 2m in loan fee's and wages that it would cost to get these players in?

whilst allsop doesnt fill you with confidence in terms of coming out, he is a good shot stopper and aint messed up yet. until then i wont worry too much

would like to see how barton does in that midfield 3 too, i hope he starts in the JPT game.

What are you trying to say? Slightly confused?
I know its not obvious, my slightly inhebriated humour :)

Simple really, the one thing to guarantee we win this league, more points than anyone else.
Wasnt too hard was it?
Still confused?
