Good post.
You see Torch some people get the idea. Try thinking about a few years time and not the present.
Personally I dont mind sisu via ccfc buying the stadium, provided safeguards are put in place and they pay market value.
What this thread is about though is the benefit of owning the freehold to ccfc. In terms of the football club there is no need to own the freehold.
But there's not a chance in hell of them ever paying market value is there?
What's stopping CCC, selling to Sisu, with a clause, that only the football club owns the stadium, so Sisu can''t syphon off the Ricoh to another Sisu entity, who then charges the club rent & puts us back to square one?
CCC did a great job renting the arena to CCFC, for big bucks with little return, payback time!
And, so do I. Stop being lazy and check before your usual predictable retorts. I have also said to put in safeguard, provisos, caveats or whatever. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. Well, I'm sure you'd have a girly hysterical fit about something.
Maybe they have? What's stopping sisu putting in a bid?
Maybe they have?
All negotiations start at the impossible and then you end up with what you actually wanted.

Hey, Astute, do you think he's talking about his "Usual predictable sarcastic retorts"? Him being the man that couldn't give a damn about SISU distressing ACL to get the Ricoh last year?
All is well if he now means what he says. I hold no grudges and we need to pull together. It is about time we became one again and want what is best for our clubs future.
@ SonofSnoz....Are you saying we NOPM brigade should pay good money to SISU?
Not to sisu but to the club & to keep the promising young team alive!
This is one of the many facets in which we disagree mate. To me, paying to go into Sixfields is lining SISU pockets. Believe me, I'd love to watch the boys play...but not while SISU are in charge.
You must have missed where SISU have said they're going to fund the club at Sixfields whilst the new stadium is built - so no need to break NOPM if you are observing it.
@ Nick.....And who's fault is that?...See what I mean?
Ive said it many times.

Are you saying that he is doing a good job?
I didn't say who's fault, just that I doubt any of the ticket sales money was profit so not lining pockets. It will be paying wages etc.
Well I'm not about to mitigate their losses. They made their bed, they can lie in it.
(notice the double entenre there :thinking about
So you won't moan when they sell our best players to meet Financial Fair Play. We will have the lowest budget in the football league and should expect to be relegated in consecutive years after this season.

Why are people so bothered about the club paying market value for the stadium? Surely what we want would be for the club to pay as little as possible for it. This would also give SISU some sort of exit strategy - and is that not what we all want?
