If Juke goes and no replacement is brought in then I think attendances will drop like a stone as we will ultimately be relegating ourselves in November. There will be tremendous anger too.

We need the money and if it is £3 million then that would be fantastic in my view and I am all onboard with it, but that is on the proviso that we must ..... and I repeat, we must bring players in with some of the money and a direct replacement for Juke. It would suicide not to bring a striker in, even if it is a much cheaper alternative. Total suicide.

We would be left with the following at the club;

ROD - injured and not good enough for the Championship
Platt - 34 and not able to play every game.
McDonald - Warming the bench at the mo and not shown anything at all.
Fat Freddie - Outcast. Overweight and unfit.

We might as well just phone every club up and just give them the 3 points to save them on journey time.

The most worrying thing is that I think this transfer is going to happen and Thorn apparently seems to know nothing about it and if that is the case then no replacement will even have been considered or looked at and we have just 2 days to sort it out.

I can sense a tremendous amount of anger brewing if this all plays out like some of us fear.

There is already tremendous anger towards sisu,for many,this will be the final straw. I see no point in getting rid of juke and scratching around the lower leagues for a replacement,we will end up with some donkey from league 2. Mind you,he will fit in with the shit strikers we'll be left with. It's all immaterial anyway,we'll get nobody.

Agree. Just trying to see this from a strictly business point of view. Been loads of rumours of the club struggling to pay staff wages and us going under and owing money and spending against next year's ST sales etc. Fact is, we desperately need the money.

If we were to sell Juke for £3 mill and £2 mill went to the club and we were able to bring in 3 players inc a striker that could well benefit the club and make the squad stronger as well as bring in a stack of money.

I'm sure most of us would be happy with £1.75million let alone £3 million!!!

if we definatly need the money to pay wages that means it is not going to be available for players to be signed or loaned, the club is out of options SISU need to fuck off or they will destroy what faith the few fans that are still turning up have left. Typical of SISU good result last night and then we are all down again knowing our top scorer will be sold or loaned out and any other player coming the other way will be shit and a waste of time. the thing is Otis we know the money will not be invested in the team it will dissapear to so call service the clubs debts or the wanker kens fucking travelling costs and wages !!

I agree. I don't think it will be re-invested, but it simply has to be!

As I say though, I'm sure if the offer was £2 million we'd snap their hands off , so if it's £3 million that means the club can have that £2 million and some of the rest of the money can go into the team, and do remember these are just loans so we probably wouldn't be expected to pay all the wages.

This is not good business, destroying your product to pay the bills is simply keeping the life support on for a couple more months. What happens when we can't pay wages in July? Who do we sell then? Thomas? Keogh? Then what do we do six months after that? We are fast approaching a situation where we will literally have no one of value to sell, what then?

It was debt free when they took over. Ranson had the right idea in building the playing staff up with quality signings and they abandoned that plan in the name of short termism. So yes, they killed it.

The Hoff still wants the club, in fact there was another big meeting on Saturday, which the Cassidys were also part of. The problem is getting them to piss off before they've recouped as much as possible. COVENTRY CITY boss Andy Thorn insists he is desperate to keep hold of star striker Lukas Jutkiewicz but acknowledges the decision may be taken out of his hands.

I don't think we will see any of it either Snozzer. From a CCFC point of view though it has to happen. It won't though. That's the stupidity of it all. We will be cutting off our nose to spite our face. Don't think Sisu care what division we are in. We desperately need shot of them.

I hate that or best players are being sold, but if it means we can finally bring in new owners then I accept the pain in the short term. As long as the club still exists at the end of all these shenanigans I will remain positive

Absolutely.

It was good to see him score last night, but he hasn't got the fire power to do it on his own. He's not a 25 goal a season man and he still misses more than he scores. If we got the money for him and bought a few lower league players then I'd be happy with that.

Similar with Clingan. Not bothered, he's not the player he was. I'm pretty tired of his giving the ball away and then holding his hand up as if that makes it all better.

Give the captaincy to Keogh, I say.

Wyken you are absolutely right to expect that. Unfortunately our club is run by a hedge fund who have a) failed in their initial goal and b) fallen upon hard times. They don't give a shiny shite now where we end up, this is about escaping with as much of their investment that they can.

They will piss off eventually but new owners will be left with an empty shell if a club. But like somebody said I'd take that, this is our club and always will be.

The problem is Otis, we'll do the deal with southampton too late to bring anyone in and then won't be able to bring anyone in until Jan when the fee comes through, and then we'll probably leave it until the deadline day and miss our main targets (e.g Le Fondre) and have bring in our second 'first' choice. And leave us with 7-8 games without any replacements.

From A.T.'s comments, Juke will be off this week and there's nothing he can do to stop that happening as he has no athority beyond that of managing what he is allowed to have.
How can a manager motivate a team when his own motivation must be rock bottom due to the way he is treated.

I just can't justify giving SISU any more of my hard earned cash as they don't invest anything into the club that I love!

They will continue to asset strip the team until the end of January and only then when relegation is certain will they hand over the club to another investor. I won't be back in the ground until a new owner is in charge or I see signifiicant signs if investment. Maybe just maybe if the income becomes less they will leave sooner.

It is my belief!
That our owners Sisu/Finance: will fast track any of our players that have cought the eye of other clubs, through the front door,"or more LIKELY...The back door" of the Ricoh Arena in the next few weeks.
I dont expect manager Thorn, to see one penny piece to bolster our squad, as Sisu, and their investors, whistle while the ship goes down.
I dont believe any Take over, in whatever form it takes will go ahead until all of the assets have been stripped from our club, then and only then! will the "Rats leave the ship"

Someone has already hinted at this, but won't SISU leave once they have re-couped their losses? I think the general concensus is that people won't mind relegation if they go. Surely if they sell pretty much the whole squad in Jan, take their money and run and we end up relegated will allow for new owners to come in and rebuild. Why people fret over losing players is beyond me. There are many more players around of similar quality that could be purchased when new owners come in?
