@shmmeee had an idea a while back about a tiered membership which sounded good. Because of the model the club run I feel they need to be more innovative with looking for alternative schemes to increase revenue. If anyone has any good ideas happy to pitch them to the club.
They need to be more proactive full stop. I never see adverts or marketing, they don’t seem to sweat their contacts list.
The fundamental issue IMO is they see themselves as an events business and not a brand. Look at modern influencers and how they build a brand and give as many opportunities for people to send them money for small rewards and build loyalty.
Access, (good quality) merchandise, exclusive content, subscriber tiers, all that jazz is how brands are monetised these days. Being at a match should be the pinnacle, but supporting a club is so much more than that.
On merchandise: I have very little stuff at home from the CCFC shop, but do have stuff like Badly Drawn Pannini posters. The club needs to either hire someone or make partnerships with the independents making better stuff than they are so some of that money comes their way as well.
