so would be used instead of not in addition to the current budget
if 2000 people signed up to this - it is still only £240k per year -
if you get a good free transfer at this level, it wouldnt cover their wages
Was that the Coca-Cola thing? Think somebody signed Colin Kazim-Richards with the money.Reminds me of the ‘buy your club a player’ competition in the mid 2000s, but unlike then £250k gets you nothing at this level.

Yeah, it was Brighton, wasn’t it?Was that the Coca-Cola thing? Think somebody signed Colin Kazim-Richards with the money.

Coca-Cola loves double barrelled namesSouthampton signed Bradley Wright Phillips with it too I think
Corrected, we are in the Championship now m8What would they do with the money if they only raised, say, £10k? Paya decentaverage players wages for afornightweek?
@shmmeee had an idea a while back about a tiered membership which sounded good. Because of the model the club run I feel they need to be more innovative with looking for alternative schemes to increase revenue. If anyone has any good ideas happy to pitch them to the club.
We can’t get people to buy season tickets, never mind contribute to a transfer fund.Maybe someone with a legal background could answer this, but is there anything legally that would stop Coventry city setting up a seperate transfer kitty, comprising of £10 a month incentivised payments from fans? I would happily sign up to a transfer fund where we could track the "pot" so to speak. Sounds simple but I'm assuming there is a reason they don't do it. Would it be simply the owners wouldn't want their transfer budget publicly available?

For the time being. When crowds are allowed back there will be more available . Let’s see how many we can sell eh.STs have sold out?
Yeh but that wouldn't work for a jab at the club!STs have sold out?
That doesn't really make sense. You just said we have trouble selling season tickets, but we've sold out 8,000 which is the max available at the minute and the highest in 10 years. For the time being. When crowds are allowed back there will be more available . Let’s see how many we can sell eh.
Isn't the asking price for Man Utd something like £3bn? Thats a lot of buckets full of pound coins!Heard today on the radio there is a proposal from joint fan groups who are looking to form a group and build up funds to enable individual supporter groups to buy their clubs not quiet the same as what the OP has put on here but similar and interesting if it happens.
It will work. But we all have to agree on who to buyMaybe someone with a legal background could answer this, but is there anything legally that would stop Coventry city setting up a seperate transfer kitty, comprising of £10 a month incentivised payments from fans? I didn’t catch the nitty gritty but I got the opinion it was mainly EFL clubs and lower some perhaps saddled with dodge pot owners I expect there will be more to come on this.Isn't the asking price for Man Utd something like £3bn? Thats a lot of buckets full of pound coins!
We have to agree who to get rid of firstIt will work. But we all have to agree on who to buy
