It wouldn't surprise me if Waghorn scored less than 3 goals this season, Walker is in a strop. I don't really want either of them here as it stands.
Tavares might be raw but as a 4th choice he is fine. He's the only one on an upward trajectory.

My take on this would be Sibley will be coming in as Kelly is once again crocked. We must not underestimate Eccles ability to step up either. Strikers we are all set. Tavares will be on the cusp chasing after Goddens and Gyokeres's place mark my words. Walker could yet see another loan but if he can hit the ground running he can still prove to be a very good finisher in games - even if it's cameo appearances.
Panzo and Doyle will not only fight it out for a starting berth, but will like oust Faz and Rose at some stage if those two are anything below par. Ardamola will seal the left back slot. the squad is as good as any in this league bar a couple of teams maybe. But then we all have a view. I sat next to someone last season who thougt O'Hare was rubbish, always falling over and couldn't hit a football for toffee. To some degree I could see what he was saying. In Robin's and Vivash we trust. They see them everyday. Palmer for instance is the classic Vivash job to sort out. Here we have a very skilled footballer who could replace O'Hare easily enough given a bit of time. I see players like Allen having to play out of their skins to be in this team, and that says we are stronger this year and look like we may have a real challenge in us.

Bird is more of a Kelly replacement mate. Sibley is more of an O’Hare replacement

There’s every chance if he has a reasonable chance Walker could be a double figure goal scorer next season

He's not going to leapfrog Gyökeres or Godden so his play time will be fairly limited I expect. He does have some goals in him but I feel like Robins is stuck with him rather than anything else. It's probably healthier for both parties to move on, but let's see, you might be right.

Club will be actively looking to offload some players on loan or perm basis before window closes. The main ones who will effect the budget will be Walker, Waghorn and Kane. These will be hard to shift but i personally don't see a future for these at the club never mind in the championship.
Walker will divide opinion but i don't see good enough movement, not enough energy and is not someone who i see making defenders think or work to hard to stop him. He has shown glimpse and has attributes, but Godden, Vik and Tavares will give defenders way more to deal with than Walker ever could. So potential to score no doubt, opportunity to do it with us i very much doubt and if another attacker comes in the writing will be on the wall.
Kane has pissed on his chips and if Dabo and Eccles stay upright he will be gone before the window closes.
Waghorn im afraid we are stuck with, he is on a very good contract and at his age he is happy to play his bit part and take the money. I truly don't think its worked partly down to the fact he doesn't really care about the club. Its the worst bit of business we have done overall since MR has been back. We have had a few disasters which is normal, but most have been young or cheap enough to move on. Wag is the most costly and the one that his wage could of been used to better effect
All 3 are still with us and while they are will be expected to perform in all aspects. If they do then great, i might not rate them but i still want them to do well while they are here. So lets see what the next 10 days brings as i think the squad for tomorrows friendly will be a bit different to the squad taken to Sunderland.

Couldn't disagree more on Waghorn.
It may not have worked out for him here but that isn't down to any lack of desire. He works incredibly hard in matches & training and, as I'm sure the ITK's will confirm, it is he who has pushed to leave simply because he wants to play & not just sit on his arse collecting a wage.
Whilst it's fair to say he's flattered to deceive so far, his performances really haven't been as bad as some make out but his card is marked partly due to his salary. He looked a bit better again towards the end of last season & has done pretty well in pre-season too. Whilst I'm sure the preference for all parties would be for him to move on, he will have a part to play if he's still here come the start of the season.
