If players cant play well whilst negative singing is happening, how the hell are they ever meant to play away from home? I remember in the 80's people would sing things like David Speedie what a w£$%%$r etc never seemed to affect his game

That's the opposition fans against an experienced player who loved confrontation, pretty poor analogy.

I sit in block 16 heard the chants but never heard then having a go at anyone.
Tbh never even bothered chanting myself after the first time.

When did he say that? When I was listening on the way up he said it did! Said teams loved coming to the Ricoh as its a great stadium for L1 but they know the atmosphere is poor as its empty and that the crowd are quick to get on the players backs.

Sisu out chants aren't aimed at the players, it is not the crowd getting on their backs. They do create noise and add to the atmosphere. As mentioned, all the chanting at Port Vale, and it was almost non-stop, did not affect the players. Charlton didn't seem bothered by three quarters of the ground having a go at their owners. Their manager said the team were not affected and that the fans have a right to protest. Apart from not going, how else can people show their discontent with owners who treat us and our club with utter contempt? At the moment, the long term existence of our club is the most important item on the agenda so even if the protests negatively affect the team ( which I don't think they do), they would be justified. No club means no team to support. Should we just sit meekly and watch our club die?

How do you know that? Since the recent up surge in protests and resultant media interest there has been a flurry of activity from Sisu representatives with Venus going on CWR and Fisher making comments and attacking the Trust via the SCG. Coincidence, or are the protests making them twitchy, who knows?People have a choice, meekly accept what Sisu are doing or have the satisfaction of having at least made their feelings known even if in the end it is futile.
