sisu go home

You realise that without the council's help all those years before SISU even bought us the club wouldn't have even had the Ricoh to play at don't you?

And you also realise that for 4 years SISU were quite happy to pay the cost of the rent without ONCE questioning it, that was all until their piss poor backing of the team (shit managers & players brought in and quality sold) finally dragged us down to League 1 and then they started having a paddy saying they were being hard done by by that mean ACL?

Or are you just trolling?

Yeh I can see how terrible it would be to have not had the Ricoh to play at, and just have Highfield Road, in Coventry, which we owned. Thanks for your completely altruistic investment coucil!

As regards Sisu and the rent issue, well how much do you think our club should have to pay for a stadium supposedly built for our club? Don't get me wrong, I'm quite clear on the fact I hate Sisu's dealings and that they're dodgy as hell, but I don't think the council should have been cashing in on our club so much, using a stadium we paid for as collateral!

As regards the trolling comment - do you actually know what that means? Expressing opinions and solutions on a forum designed for that isn't trolling mate, look it up.

Playing at Ricoh (or at least in Coventry) is the primary objective @ this time.

We can worry about everything else later.....Playing our home games "Away" is simply not acceptable to so many (myself included) supporters & the Football League should never have sanctioned this..we have been let down by everyone in this debacle and now is the time to NOT LET OURSELVES DOWN....make a stand and do not visit Sixfields..and if we start winning a few games..STICK TO THE PLAN.!!!!

The sisu apologists seem to be coming out of the woodwork today. All of a sudden we have to forgive sisu, let bygones be bygones etc. Just what sisu want! I cannot believe some people - and they call themselves fans! For half a decade they have systematically ripped the team apart. Consistently sold players below market value charge management fees to themselves nearly equalling the amount paid in rent, have taken the team away in Coventry, then all of a sudden its us NOT sisu who has to make concessions! Are these peopke serious? All this would do is vindicate sisu's actions over the past 5 years!

What happens whan city get relegated again? Sisu will then claim te "average" rent in League 2 is £20k / year and the rent is extortionate and will not pay - again! Will we have the same apologists whinging and attacking ACL for charging extortionate rent? There is a line you should never cross - yet sisu crossed it! They have treated the fans like dogshit yet people still defend them!

I suspect the trust will in a week or two change their tune once more and say as fans we must be prepared to talk to sisu. I'm sure they will wrap it up in some BS, but the plain fact is you do not ever bargain with bullies - that is all sisu are! What you have to realise is ultimately we have the key bargaining chip - paying at the gate. Sure sisu could fund any losses, however to make money they must obtain funds from elsewhere - that means us the fans!

NOPM, a few weeks of gates below 1k and guarantedd all of a sudden sisu will come out with the "we have always been prepared to talk" BS. Do not let the apologists bamboozle you claiming sisu have funded the club - if it has been running up debts, then clearly they haven't - they have just let others do it for them!

sisu out NOPM

Erm okay with regards to the cashing in.....before the loan was made by the council (which was declared legal by a judge) how much money had the council made (in either revenue or profit) from the club via ACL?

The more people support the club at sixfields..the better Tim & Joy will feel about it.

Think about that whilst your watching us at Northants!!

You that are going will say "I'm Supporting the team".....do you actually think the players themselves will not give it 100% for results weather there's 700 or 7000 spectators at the stadium.
Their job is to play..ours is to do whats best for the club..AND THAT'S NOT WATCHING THEM 35 MILES AWAY!!!

Not wanting to 'piss on your chips' but the above posts you're referring (1 to 35) to were from 24 and 25 July not today.

In truth noone can answer that apart from those directly involved, but where did all the cash for the unbelievably high rent go? Why didn't the Ricoh bring in ANY revenue for the club (the reason it was built)?

Well the rent obviously goes into ACLs accounts and I believe if you look at those they show that they have been making overpayments on the loan taken out to purchase the lease and neither the council or Higgs have yet received a single penny.

It doesn't bring in revenue for the club because they sold their 50% stake to Higgs and haven't activated the option to buy it back.

Well according to ACL who actually manage to publish accounts on time, it went on what chiefdave wrote and PWKH is on record on this site stating that neither shareholder of ACL has taken a dividend. He also mentioned that it went on Ricoh improvements to give more 365 days a year income in the now seemingly unlikely return of the club to the stadium as owners. This would have meant we'd have year round income not just in the season.
