Well that is just as likely as Robins by coincidence only getting his tactics right for the Spurs game
Likely? It's what happened, do you disagree?

We were also sloppy in possession and there was a howler from Rudoni, which didn't help matters. Again, neither of those issues are effort related though.

I disagree that it was down to tactics.

I think our players got their heads turned at Wembley, started thinking they're global superstars, and are no longer interested in games like Derby on a damp November night.

The only game I've seen them show 100% commitment and effort since Wembley was the Spurs game

So how do you explain the complete turnaround in the game when we made the subs?

They've been told to not comment I've been told, or be fined

I'm hoping that's not the case

Players have to remain professional. When have players ever thrown their toys out of the pram after their poor performances have got a manager the sack? Never

This is a typical post by you alluding that you are in the know, but it is all guess work to hint towards controversy

No one said about them throwing toys out did they. More a goodbye no?

Yes, I mean Dougs proving to be a top bloke and I've been wrong all along hey...

Last night?

I'm not sure I'd call it a complete turnaround. Yes we scored, but only after conceding the second.

The effort levels towards the end of the game were the absolute minimum I would expect. It still wasn't really anyone going hell for leather

I'm not defending Doug King. I'm commenting on how players up and down the country react after a manager gets the sack.

To play devil's advocate some fans always write off players and are proven wrong

Look at ayari. Everyone saying he was shit and less than a year later he's playing for one of premier leagues top teams regularly

Maybe king is annoyed robins benched him and didn't persist? Maybe ayari could have been a real asset last year had we let himself settle in?

Like I said just playing devil's advocate

So annoyed he banned him from signing anyone else on loan after? Sound bloke that Doug.

Maybe Ayari going back to Brighton, them sitting him down having a chat with him and sending him out again changed Ayari's attitude?. Maybe he realised he wasn't as advanced as he thought he was and he knuckled down during his second loan?

Yeah maybe everything that goes wrong is never the managers fault

It was a complete turnaround in terms of chance creation and dominating the ball. If you didn’t see that then no point continuing this.

Reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy annoying me because for the last 3 weeks ive been arguing against every negative King post you’ve made and now feel i owe you an apology.

Is what it is mate, everyone's entitled to their views. Just rather people look at what I've said before, because bar the howlers like Bajcetic and Gilmour I've never lived down, it's not usually far from the truth. Sometimes just takes a while to become visible i suppose

This.
Really annoying when people talk about no plan B when there was a complete formation change on 60 minutes and from then on the game changed massively.

There's not one Robins backer on here who has tried to exonerate him of any responsibility for the poor start.

There are Doug King fanboys who won't hear a word against him nor his new set up. So if you're looking for a besotted group who won't criticise their crush that's where you should be looking.

So are you now shifting from playing devil's advocate to stating Robin's was wrong about Ayari?

I was just continuing your devil's advocate theme. I thought there were signs Ayari could be a decent player. It was more a case of he wasn't right for us at that particular moment.

But also King doesn't like loans so that blows a hole in your hypothesis.

It should have been changed earlier however
With the benefit of hindsight yes. But if we’d have got the second or a third goal (and given wright managed to miss the target twice with tap in headers) it would have been fine.

Sometimes as a manager you have to give the players on the pitch the opportunity to fix it themselves, cant drag off those 3 players at 20 minutes can you? Realistically

Just saying what I see

Lots of people emotional today and being silly imo. Like the fans who say the ref is against us every week or that sky hate us. I just can't help but point out how silly it is.

Call me entitled if you like, but when a group of players are fighting their hearts out to keep a manager in a job I would expect better than 1-1 at home against a newly promoted side

I have not stated that at all so don't be like that please.

I am open to scenario robins letting ayari down just like I am open to robins putting the club first because ayari wasn't ready.

Well we went from having zero chances to one or two, so yes, I concede that is a turnaround

I've seen a few people come out with this 'people getting emotional' line.
As if football isn't an emotional game. It's almost like they don't really get it.

I dont think you’re entitled. I agree but its november. He shouldnt have been sacked.
Surely right now, Doug King is the one without a plan B?

I don't think he should've been sacked either. I'm criticising the players, not Robins.

Ayari was dogshit for us though. His work rate was appalling.
Probably the 2nd worse loan since our return to the Championship
But it happens, and was part of the learning curve for the player. Same as Harry Kane who had some very uninspiring loans. All part of their development.
