4-3 in favour of last seasons line up, I know that is a very simplistic way of looking at it and if you think Thomas > Gael you would have it in favour of this seasons line up

Cameron - similar to wood far more powerful than Keogh/cranie
Hussey will be good in league 1

Sheff - struggled in league1 before but he was poorly treated by Leeds.
Killer - Could be a gem in league 1
Thomas - We know he has class, could have a big season.
Fleck - Get the ball down and he will play

THEN we are missing a vital proven player!!!
Baker! Scored so many for Stockport
He could be vital and now has to fight for a place ahead of fleck

Cody - Big season for him
Elliott - not expecting too much but has scored 15 in a season and has a promotion for Norwich

Baker scored his goals as a second striker/free role for stockport who built the team around him. If he's out wide he won't get half as many goal scoring chances as he got at Stockport, and he took their pens. And if he's in a diamond he'll play deeper cm role as either Sheff or fleck will play in the hole.

well it's the only place i think sheffers can play in the formation we use as fleck is going to be the CAM so hussey will have to defend.

Sheffers is a striker turned winger/attacking midfielder. He struggles to provide defensive cover when he's LM let alone LCM.

Actually i can't believe you would sacrifice last seasons top scorer for someone who we know absolutely nothing about and other than sky highly eating him 3 years ago has done nothing in the game. Fleck could turn out brilliant but we don't know enough about him yet.

As always the problem is not our strongest 11. When we play them for the ten games in the season the majority are fit. However remove 4 to 5 of them for the other 30 games replace them with 17 year olds and you have relegation form.

If we sign one more half decent goalscorer there is no way on earth we will be relegated. There is no doubt having the handicap of such a poor manager contributed to our relegation and it still was only by 3 games worth of points. He now has a more focused management team with him and the league is massively inferior. 12th at worst even with current squad.

To be honest I see 8-12th as about par for this current squad.
