As for the topic, I imagine it would be in other parties best interests to keep us there, advertising boards etc are all bringing in money and us leaving the group was make them practically worthless and they're usually only seen during the football matches.

Not that I think we're going to get relegated...

There are some among us, who have been subjected to utter dross since relegation, and have just about had enough, further relegation will be the last straw, and we will enter a new age of sub 10'000 gates.

when we get relegated into Div 1, and I say when rather than If, because the company that own us, have no desire or impetus to prevent it happening, gates are bound to suffer, despite what some very eminent posters think.

A good run of results, might see a revival, but a bad one may even see us drop lower, as frustration sets in, CCFC are already losing supporters almost on a weekly basis, a drop into div 1 would see a further depletion, imho, maybe Sisu are contemplating life in div 1 as a more budget friendly option, and has all been planned.

The league money was doubled to around £2.2m may have been last year, definately this , which surely has aided sisu with loss reductions ,for accepting the premierships increased parachute payments up to £48m,the league one chairmen were dead against this ,for the reason that the difference between our league and theirs is around £1.9m,yes if we're down there next year,its worth about £375,000

No why should they? A little off but nothing significant.
As I said we are already at a low ebb on that score. This unlike Scunthorpe is a City (however apathetic) of some half a million counting the catchment areas. Football is a national pastime for many. Winning on a regular basis would in fact probably increase crowds as Man City, Southampton etc have all found out. Not winning would merely keep us near to the level we have currently I suspect.

Income streams. Well that's a whole new ball game.

Crowds would plummit. Imagine Rochdale on a cold January night - 8,000 at best

Income would fall dramatically due to the payments spread, gate money would fall, merchandise revenue would decline.................and SISU would cut accordingly if they don't just pull the plug in the meantime. Surely there is provision though for this in stadium rental agreements and players contracts?

Ashdown - as discussed elsewhere, the loss of income will almost certainly result in administration, should we get relegated.

That will mean us starting next season on minus 10 points - perhaps even on a Luton-type scenario with additional points taken because we have failed to come out of administration.
That, with the loss of players from an already weakened squad, will mean we will be facing imminent relegation to League Two.
Attendances will drop significantly, further reducing income.

One concern will be: will anyone want to buy us as a League One (Two) club? Hoffman's investors may not be so interested, given our decline in status

Our gates are declining as each week goes by.

The 'hardcore support' that is referred to, is not a fixed group of people. There is always a turnover, people move away, lose their jobs, or some become too old to get to games.

These 'outgoing fans' would normally be replaced by 'incoming' hardcore fans, eg youngsters, but that is not happening for us, while we are in decline on and off the pitch. Net result is that our hardcore of support is diminishing.

If we go down, and we don't start off with wins, our gates will plummet, like they did when we were relegated.

If you run a business, you have to have something to sell. At this point in time, Our product is not attracting new customers. Normal response for a business, would be to invest in a more attractive product. So why can't Sisu see this?

Home crowds would suffer dramatically, however our away crowds would go up loads for the first year.
