it would be ridiiculous if they made an app for video streaming that didnt stream video!
lets hope it delivers, i am on holiday late august and need the app to be working for match replays or live
where did you get this info from btw nick?would like to read statement
It's not just for live video streaming, it's listening to it and then the highlight videos etc.
Will have to see, hopefully they are.
VPN tunnel from an Android box with the app on and job done.

I'm cancelling my sub if I can't get a VPN to work. Don't use it a lot really, only really when I was in hospital for those six weeks at the beginning of the year.
You can still use it without a VPN for everything like highlights, listening to games etc. It's just the live matches.
can someone give me a condensed idiots guide to vpn?
does it change your internet settings at home? or just change the device you install it on? can it be turned off after you have finished watching a game?
No, just the device you use it on. Unless you setup a VPN tunnel on your router which is a bit OTT.
You would just disconnect after the game.
So just to clarify, the official board stance on here has gone from "Everyone should get down the Ricoh" to "Hey download this VPN and watch from home nbd"

Personally, I will still attend as many games as I can afford to - not many, but when I have spare cash and there are no other priorities, I'll be cheering them on in the flesh. If VPN works and I can scrape up the £140 odd quid for iFollow, the club will make even more money out of me. Hope that helps. So just to clarify, the official board stance on here has gone from "Everyone should get down the Ricoh" to "Hey download this VPN and watch from home nbd"

The app won't let subscribers stream live video, but the fact the streams will be available for oversees subscribers means they won't be hard to come by. Read a report a week ago that the EFL were close to agreeing a deal for uk fans to subscribe to live streaming of their football league team for 2019. Only a matter of time.
It's not official until it goes to vote in the secret board meetings where they spend half the time gossiping about youSo just to clarify, the official board stance on here has gone from "Everyone should get down the Ricoh" to "Hey download this VPN and watch from home nbd"

I'm not sure actuallyStupid question- will there be commentary on live streams?
Imagine it will either be someone from the club or they'll just lay the CWR commentary over the top.I doubt thrrr will be comms. Would hsve to pay someone fir every sibgle fixture and i thibk membership would cost more thsb it does now
Think would be too msny issies getting it to sync upImagine it will either be someone from the club or they'll just lay the CWR commentary over the top.

Who's encouraging it?Don't get precious, I wasn't calling anyone out in particular. I just think it's a bit off to openly encourage people to game the system so they can watch from home at a time when we need as many people in the stands as possible.
