For years our fan base has bemoaned the club’s lack of a long term plan. Yet, we have a manager who is our best since relegation from the Premiership, and we have one of the youngest teams in the league. Why don’t we give them time to develop and the manager time to build the squad. We’ve spent money on young talent, and you can tell from our results that we’re close to turning a lot of these frustrating losses and draws into wins.
In my view, it would be a very stupid decision on several dimensions to sack Robins. If we have a disastrous start to next season after another summer of good investment, then there may be a strong case against Robins.
There is no evidence of a long term plan. We have a young team mainly as he’s failed to either sign decent players in a higher age bracket or they just vanish.
What young talent have we spent money on? Our best players are loans and there will be a huge turnover of staff yet again in the summer.
How you define the best manager since relegation i can’t fathom
Actually you could have used the same quotes on Mowbray in season one when it was very obvious he should have been sacked by February when he’d clearly lost all direction. The consequence was allowing him the summer which was a catastrophe in terms of recruitment - he’s miserable form continued and we were relegated
Robins track record screams short term

The guy who’s last two jobs he has a win record of 17% and 21% ?. My mates a Bradford fan and they couldn’t wait to get rid of him
Stopped reading there.
You either don't know what you're talking about or are being incredibly blinkered to suit your agenda.
Come off it. His last few permanent signings:
Rose
Drysdale
McCallum
Westbrooke
Chaplin
Bakayoko
Hiwula
Mason
Agreed that our better players are probably loanees, certainly Sterling anyway but I don't think we're quite as reliant on them as we were under Mowbray where we literally had a loanee or nothing.
And they are all players with potential. Yes, there have been mistakes made but I feel we can reap the rewards of these players next year once they've had time to bed in. Thought Bakayoko looked good at the weekend, aside from the bad miss. Think we now need to see this season out and push on next year. I'd still like a target man type striker adding, even if it's just as a plan B.
Only the best because the others have been so bad.For years our fan base has bemoaned the club’s lack of a long term plan. Yet, we have a manager who is our best since relegation from the Premiership, ...
Couldn't disagree more.Unless he makes a miracle change next week he needs to go and take Chaplin with him
It's embarrassing, he looks lost
Because some of our fan base still think we are a premiership club and get successive promotions winning every game. For years our fan base has bemoaned the club’s lack of a long term plan. Totally agree with you and having owners where we have to find half the squad every season due to short term signings and loans has been half the problem.
Give MR at least another season to get us pushing for the playoffs and if he isn’t then start asking questions
No I think we are a normal football club that reacts to short term issues.
The squad is weaker than the start of the season and will get a lot weaker in the summer which means another round of Robins recruitment

Harsh, but 3 more successive defeats might just do it.I'd give him three games to turn it around, if there is no upturn in results, then unfortunately he will have to pay the price and be relieved of his duties.
3 games... And then what, the merry go round starts again, we bring in a different manager, who likes to play football in a different way, a manager who perhaps isn't particularly concerned with how the club is run, begins to neglect the U23's, stops blooding Academy players into the 1st team. Only see's it as a stepping stone and a wage for 18 months, 2 years, we may get an initial upturn in results, but ultimately nothing changes...I'd give him three games to turn it around, if there is no upturn in results, then unfortunately he will have to pay the price and be relieved of his duties.

Bradford wasn't great but, as I said, some bigger issues going on there. .
I just live in reality pal and believe in giving someone a chance rather than unrealistic expectations and thinking we are billy big bollocks of the football league who should get promotion againThis annoying straw man argument is what you and others trot out at those who criticise the messiah
But the likes of Brighton and Canada expect us to win promotion every season because we are clearly to big for league one3 games... He signed Eastwood on a huge contract - total clown

Grendel doesn't do positives.Who do you like Grendel ? Players and or managers?
He did a shit job last season?Quite honestly nobody has said that. It's just people looking at a guy doing a shit job 2 years on the bounce and refusing to change his ways.
