Ironically (or maybe not) there is a CCFC link to one I remember from my youth. As the morning of 9th December 1980 broke (we played Watford at HR that evening in a Lg Cup qtr final replay) news was coming through of John Lennon's murder in New York.
I swear, even before lunch time a joke was going around - 'How many slugs does it take to kill a beatle'?
