People pretty sure on twitter it is going to be him. Final 3 reckoned to be Brown, Ince and Nicky Forster. Apparently Ince has had a second interview and has been offered a deal, but is going to think it over the weekend.

Could think of a worse final 3 and potential manager....

Ince knows L1, that goes in his favour. Even during his second spell at MK Dons they weren't that bad, and he must have had something about him to get the Blackburn job. Having said that, a man who gives himself a nickname, especially one like 'the Guv'nor', automatically qualifies as a tosser.

Nicky Forster?!? Where did that one come from? Excuse my ignorance but I thought he was a striker-is he even a manager yet?

As for Ince, I'm probably in the minority in that I think he might be OK. He was superb at Macclesfield in turning around a relegated club with no money-that was mostly down to inspiration and man-management. If he can improve us as much as he improved them, I think there's some hope for this season yet. I'd give him a chance anyway!

"Think it over" is interesting: what's to think over?

He had an absolute dreadful spell at Blackburn and Notts County. I would be gutted if he got the job!

Ince has gotta be a more inspirational choice than Brown.

Ince v Di Canio sounds a laugh too!

If and its a big if, that were the three on the shortlist, i would go for Ince everytime.

Personally I think we could do a lot worse, and lets face it we arent going to buy anyone out of a contract so we are looking for someone who has had 'a lack of success' recently as otherwise they would be in a job, or a club in a better position than ours would have employed them.

If its him, i will support him, and hope that he can turn around the neagtive apathy around the club, and give our pampered under performing team a good kick up the arse!

I've seen so many of these 'top 3' posts with different names every time, with all sorts of candidates being touted as a favourite. I'm so cynical at this point I honestly think they're just waiting for Shaw to win a few games so they can justify handing him the post

Ince better than Brown.

Richard money at 56 years old may possibly be too old for the job but still wouldn't mind him.

Dennis Wise - did he apply, did he want the job once he knew the limitations with salary and budget but CCFC has been a manager's graveyard and maybe too big a risk.

Personally I would not appoint Ince. Loved him as a player and he has experience in L1 but not convincing at most places he's been at. I still think we need someone with more experience. However Ince is likeable and should he get it, then lets hope he lives up to his nickname!

I hear Dicky Dosh is favourite. But lets face it everyone is making up names.

Ince will do me, he has presense about him and okay he did well at a couple of clubs and not so well at a couple. Great managers have all done that Sir Alex got the sack at St Mirren and suposedly was one match away from the boot at United, Bobby Robson was fired at Fulham. Whoever gets the job we need to support and make sure Fisher honours this so called 3 year plan sisu apparently have. The fans must not allow what Andy Thorn had to endure in his early days as manager.

This is from the same guy who said it had been offered to Brown. He now says Ince. He's normally fairly reliable so I'm wondering if he's been given some mis-information previously ( and potentially now as well ).

Someone else claims they've asked Forster about it and he's not one of the 3.

Sir Alex was sacked by St Mirren for talking to Aberdeen, not because of poor results

If Ince gets it, I'll nick-name him "Spider". (Incy Wincy spider climbing up the spout!) :)

Seen this morning that Eoin Jess has come from nowhere to 16/1. Is he the phantom ex player with no managerial experience on the short list ? Looks like he was youth team coach at forest until this may.
