If this is true it's absolutely fucked me off!!
I don't buy it. Makes no sense
I can't see how they would see that route as a viable option.
Only hard facts we've got in last six weeks is that Sky Blue fans dine out on Hearsay
I suppose a fire sale could happen yet, but considering Clouting ultimately accepted their offer and is advising the course they steer (through choppy waters), maybe he's managed to come up with a slightly different approach? Obviously the "we want our money back before leaving" is the most credible part of the OP, but he could be trying to do it a slightly different way-maybe by having a very lean but (he hopes) competitive side we are a better proposition for buyers (SISU were stuck paying Kyles wages, for example)
I'm not sure about the strategy or who's idea it was, but I work with some of the academy coaches, who told me that at the beginning of the summer in a meeting that each age group is getting an extra coach, including one to work with rioch with the 18's...along with making the head if recruitment full time from being part time. By my colleagues reckoning this was a big change in approach for the academy and how it's run. Is this their 'new' medium term strategy, I'm not sure, but it adds to the odd and strange goings on at the city.
