Would imagine DaSilva and Allen will both be fine for Leicester. So where do we stand at the mo?
Allen - 3 weeks behind the others, by all accounts hes over the pericarditis thank god, so you would say maybe a place on the bench v leicester?
DaSilva - a knock wasnt it? Will miss tonight but meant to be available Saturday so should be no worries for the first game
O'Hare - back on the grass mid August apparently so October return?
Tavares - Not a clue anyone know?
I can’t see Allen being fine for any fixture in August.Would imagine DaSilva and Allen will both be fine for Leicester.
Really? He's only missed out on a couple weeks training and 2 games.I can’t see Allen being fine for any fixture in August.
He’ll be an important player again this season; Robins clearly rates him and has said several times how important he is to our play overall.I guess with Allen it just depends on what recovery period is needed after his illness.
e.g. he maybe under doctors orders to take it relatively easy for 4/6 weeks or something.
If he's been given the all clear to carry on as normal then you'd imagine he'd be OK for a spot on the bench soon, as he seems naturally a very fit bloke.
That being said, I expect him to feature a bit less this season anyway.

I expect he’ll feature more than you think and he’ll play more games over the season than Palmer.Yes but I'd expect him to be behind Hamer, Sheaf and Eccles in midfield and O'Hare (when fit), Sakamoto and Palmer at AM, so like I say I don't expect him to play as much as he did last season.
He'll certainly get decent game time while O'Hare remains out.
It's not a criticism, just how I see it playing out.

Sakamoto is untested at this level and we don't really know how quickly or whether he will adjust and Palmer's fitness is always an issue. So I suspect unless we strengthen we will see plenty of Allen. I really hope we get a good AM on loan.Yes but I'd expect him to be behind Hamer, Sheaf and Eccles in midfield and O'Hare (when fit), Sakamoto and Palmer at AM, so like I say I don't expect him to play as much as he did last season.

He just wanted a like from his alphaGod I hope not, we need much better in that position.
Happily take you up on a traditional charity bet if you really think Palmer will play more minutes than Allen this season. He just wanted a like from his alpha

No thanks, trying not to get carried away on the old charity bets again this season!Ill charity bet you he scores more goals per minute.

Pretty random bet that anyway - in league two you’d have lost if you’d had McNulty and won if you had Ponticelli
Ah ok your saying he only gets ahead of Palmer if Palmer injured. That's different thenHappily take you up on a traditional charity bet if you really think Palmer will play more minutes than Allen this season.
O'Hare won't be back in contention in October, nearer Christmas. So where do we stand at the mo?

With a condition that can be extremely painful and is exacerbated by exercise. He'll be being monitored very carefully and I would be amazed if they throw him into full training that quickly.Really? He's only missed out on a couple weeks training and 2 games.

Not surprised. That lad is a machine. Remember in lockdown he was running 5k's in about 15 minutes.Allens being targeted to return to the squad for Swansea
O'Hare is way ahead of schedule. Dont be surprised to see some photos of him 'on the grass' in the near future

O hare target is October at present to be eased back into the teamGreat news but you have to be so careful with ACLs...
He may be ahead of schedule in his rehab but the actual graft can only bed in properly with time (general consensus 9-12 months minimum)
Glad to hear Allen is on his way too
I had an ACL reconstruction as a consequence of a football injury. The surgery isn't that bad ( muscle is taken from the thigh to construct a new ligament ) but the real issue is potential muscle wastage due to the initial bed rest. The physio is intense to say the least and the new ligament is only well and truly good to go once it has developed its own new blood vessels. This is why it takes so long to come back from an injury of this nature. It can also cause cartilage issues later on.Great news but you have to be so careful with ACLs...

Not just recovery time, but how long to get to to speed. Missing pre season can be massive in that respectI guess with Allen it just depends on what recovery period is needed after his illness.
