Sounds very believable.

Christie goes, Clarke stays.

Expect a few more to be snapped up too. Leon Clarke and probably Baker for starters.

Was he? ......

Who else is in the always going to leave box
Of that was the case was was Jordan originally deemed surplus to requirements?

Of course he was, I've been saying it for months. Our best player towards the end of last season, good age and someone championship and potential PL clubs have been looking at and our most saleable asset

Oh sorry, you mean you think it was always going to be the case. Misunderstood thought you saying it as if it was always a matter of fact.

Without question a By product of this Insane exit from the City.

No sales of players with the same support level @ the RICOH .

Income from RICOH operation = £4M. with no player sales

Producing the Player budget of close to £3M.

Or Conversely Northampton with a quarter of the fanbase and no commercial Income and a Budget of £2M. =Sell CYRUS + A N Other.

Yep no coincidence that the awful Jordan Clark has somehow turned into cafu within the space of 6 weeks. These clueless c-units will flog Cyrus within the next week out of pure spite. Probably for a measly £100k fee.

There is never ever an ounce of semi decent news at this club..constant heartbreak

I was just thinking last night I wouldn't be surprised to see Cyrus leave.

I expect interest in Thomas, Murphy and Baker too.

Think a few more will be off. Baker said on Facebook this morning that " Not often in a bad mood but today is one of those days" Followed by , after a fans started ranting about sixfields , " ye dont think i will be the only one" . Sounds pissed off to me.

Sorry wingy, but even if we were / are at the Ricoh, if a decent offer came in for Cyrus or an other we would still be selling.

point i'm making Stu based on sound sums and the quoted play budget ,wouldn't necessitate any sales to satisfy FFP ,or Indeed the SISU bank balance .

Depends if we were at the Ricoh paying £1.2m rent and £230k+ match fees, plus the cost of management, doctors, physio's, vat bill, travel, academy, utilities at Ryton, insurance, etc.

Its based on last season Stu ,We had to have Break even with two player sales or we would have been In Embargo for being outside FFP, rebate from the Council £4ooK.. The Rent ,they say they paid £300K..
to play @ the RICOH would come in either free or up to £400K. .A player budget for £2M> leaves plenty for the rest, agian no players need to be sold in that scenario.

Other than of course to reduce the wage bill and make room for new signings

Again with all the bomb squad sitting there on those contracts kind of Hamstrings them ,but they gave all of those deals out ,selling Cyrus is a product of SISU management decisions.

Why would we pay £1.2m rent when the landlord offered to reduce it to £400k?

Wouldn't that be a bit odd?

A host of Championship clubs are reportedly showing an interest in Coventry City right-back Cyrus Christie.
The highly rated 20-year-old came through the City's youth system and he established himself in their first team during the 2011/12 season after loan spells at Nuneaton and Hinckley during the previous campaign.
A nephew of former boxers Errol and Lloyd Christie, the 6ft 2in tall defender has made 66 starts and 13 sub appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring three goals.
Ipswich Town, Huddersfield, Barnsley and Derby are all said to be in the hunt for the player
