Got one in November. Malta at Wembley and then a game in Skopje.

Nope. Love them.

But wouldn’t even weirdos like you rather have one big jolly with a few games rather than having to do it four or five times a season? I think a big break would help internationals as well, they could spend proper time together.

Would rather have them spaced out so there’s always something to look forward to coming up. What’s weird about enjoying great trips away watching your team play football anyway?

I used to hate them with a passion, now I'm indifferent to them.

I can do something else on the Saturday, that doesn't involve me getting up at the crack of dawn for an away game. Might watch some local football. Get some jobs done.

I'm sure i will be cursing them on Sunday when there's no decent football to watch on TV.

I'm not even too sure who England are playing apart from Italy and when these games take place. I'm so indifferent to the England team at the minute.

Just think it ruins the momentum of the season.

This ones needed I feel

But yea don't even watch any England games unless its a tournament, people may think that's weird but I've always been like it. If fucking Pompey v Wycombe on il watch that though, I've probably got a mental disorder

I’m not much of a fan of international football either unless it’s the latter stages of a tournament or v Scotland.
Other week England were on telly and I watched great British baking with the wife how sad is that.

Same here (but not bake off). If its not a tournament game il be carrying on watching fucking prison break or whatever series I'm watching at the time. Just doesn't interest me, but club football of all kinds not just CCFC il sit and watch

Its not even a 'I'm club before country' ( although i am) brag, I just genuinely don't give a toss unless it means something

I don't know why they can't announce a full fixtures list for the whole season and then when the squad's are announced then just cancel the game's where teams have players called up into the squad's.

Weirdos who prefer international football to club football.
Nothing wrong with enjoying one, both equally or one more than the other. Both give you experiences you wouldn’t get otherwise.

Only when Southgate’s involved tbh
When England start playing entertaining football again will I be somewhat invested again, I watch major tournaments, but thats it. Fell out of love with England after the boring dross they play now, always been club first but by far and away more so now than ever. When he leave’s eventually maybe we might see some entertaining stuff

Pretty awful match tonight.

Shock horror. I didn’t even bother watching it.

This will remain the case until (at least) the day that boring twerp Southgate leaves. They keep rewarding him with new contracts… I fear he will be in post until I die (and I’m 38).

I’d take us winning the World Cup over a promotion to the Prem every day of the week, if that makes me weird so be it

I mean the equivalent would be us winning the Champions League, but sure. Would you take a midweek friendly with Albania over a midweek cup game against Accrington.

Not necessarily - If you’d have offered me in August last year England win the World Cup in December or Cov go up in May, I’d have said England

And yes, in the L1/2 days I missed plenty of our matches to go to England games both home and away

I genuinely don’t care much about England

club over country

soon as England are out of any competition I don’t care, same as next year when we get knocked out in the quarters, be over it 10 mins later

I didn't even realise they were playing

I only realised when I was scrolling through the livescore app. I learned Palestine had a cancelled friendly vs Tajikistan before I learned England were playing at Wembley. Always sends me down a Google rabbit hole, they have a half decent striker playing for Chaleroi in Belgium if anyone is interested.

I forgot to look at the score until about midnight last night and then saw one nil how exciting.

I don’t dislike the team but I do dislike the manager that is holding them back he is second rate and if he quit today would be lucky if he got a job in the championship.

I just can’t fathom watching a few weeks of players you generally only see on the telly win a trophy for the country, with all the plastic occasional fans jumping on the bandwagon, meaning more than seeing the team I’ve followed week in week out in the flesh finally getting promotion after what feels like 100 years.

Baffling to me. Maybe I might feel differently if I followed England home and and away. Doubt it, but I suppose you don’t know until you’ve tried it.

The few (qualifier) games I have been to over the years have felt like exhibitions, I’m sure tournament games are different though. To each his own.

I used to love international football when I was a kid. The1970 world cup was my favourite time ever. Probably because you only saw the England players live when they turned up at Highfield Rd or live on TV in competition. As for the foreign players , only in World Cups or by reading Shoot and Goal or Football Monthly.
All too familiar these days and a friendly in mid October is unwanted, pointless and leaves me cold . However, the FA sold 80,000 tickets so while there's an audience they'll keep doing it.

Old git rambling, over.

It’s so pointless. 6-0. Well done Gareth, you’ve beaten the bin men again.

Bottle it against Italy.

Probably just scrap a 1.0 win against Malta to qualify and do what they always do, win F**k all.
