Their attendances have been higher than ours for years haven't they?Is that the only answer you ever have?
Not made up at all.
I was on about overall we were above them in the table they have now overtook us.
Check it out it was posted on here last season funny you never acused them of lying.
Our lowest average since 1920 is 9362 which was last season. When was that? Leicester averaged 20k in league one a few years ago. 2 seasons ago our average was around 8k.

Yes but on average we were above them check it for yourself before you accuse people of lying.Their attendances have been higher than ours for years haven't they?
Which site are you using?Yes but on average we were above them check it for yourself before you accuse people of lying.
It is cumulative - in reference to my earlier post. We're 20th in all time stats. Leicester are 19th - about 700 better than us. Considering the last 20 ish years of shite - I bet they've only just overtaken us.Ah if on about cumulative I apologise. Didn't make that bit clear
I was looking year on year average attendances.
Apologies to lastIt is cumulative - in reference to my earlier post. We're 20th in all time stats. Leicester are 19th - about 700 better than us. Considering the last 20 ish years of shite - I bet they've only just overtaken us.
Agree the decades old attendances are irrelevant really. The point is that the club hasn't actually finished top 6 since 1970. We're statistically the worst team to support in the football league in terms of average points per game (again since 1970). It's amazing we get the historical attendances at all.Apologies to lastinternet points are his today!
Not sure how attendances from the 50s and 60s are too relevant now though, especially when we had booming factories and there was no sky sports etc.
Don't worry about it Malaka, if it turns out your mate is barking up the wrong tree, nobody here thinks you're a wind up...its not as if you pipe up every time there's a twist or turn in this sorry saga. Just glad that there MIGHT be something happening, because if not, WTF have any of us got to look forward to off the pitch? This stagnant crap could tick over for literally years and years, appeal after appeal...someone with some financial clout, a desire to try, deep pockets and huge balls needs to come in and take the bull by the horns, so to speak.Glad I never posted this rumour it on Coventry City Fans forum its all over facebook! I'm getting dogs abuse, the doubters are out! one or two are sticking up for me. I just hope i'm right with this one
We averaged 9332 in 2014/15 season which included 2 six fields games but they were counterbalanced by the bumper Gillingham return game. We average under 11k in our first season in league one.Our lowest average since 1920 is 9362 which was last season.
If you want to include sixfields that season was 2348
Those facts should also include that Leicestershire has a population double the catchment area of CCFC and that with the City central in it's own county and set apart from rivals they are subjected to a lot of loyalty from it's citizens who also support their rugby team to the tune of 20,000 + gates each home game. Whilst they lose a few in the North West of the County to Derby and Forest and a few in the South West to Coventry largely they have solid support throughout some pretty large market towns and villages.
Another thread which has gone away from OP
I hope not, we need a complete takeover, everything about the club is rotten, it's needs to be new and fresh without having SISU's shadow by CCFC's side.a joint venture deal with sisu? Would anyone be really consider it?
Exactly!!! LOL!Accrington (Stanley)? Who are they?
I think this is the key. We have just had nothing to celebrate. My eldest son is 30 next birthday and the highlight of his supporting years is probably nearly getting to the FA cup semi final in the replayed game at Sheffield United. That statistic about failing to finish in the top 6 for 40 years is very telling. We have probably won fewer games than any other league club over that period. Winning in any division gives a feel good factor that encourages people to go. We simply haven't had that. I think that with our lack of success plus all of the Sisu stuff, particularly Sixfields, it is amazing we have as many attend as do.Agree the decades old attendances are irrelevant really. A bit of sucess and long term potential that the fans can believe in (i.e. A new owner / investor) will bring a good average crowd in.

The potential is there. Coventry people would be no different to those in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. All three of those clubs have won the league in my lifetime. All three have had success in the Europeon Cup/ Champions league. All three have had promotions and play offs. Forest and Leicester have had lots of success in domestic cups too. Wonderful as it was, we have only had 1987 in the last 50 years. Why do people slag off their fellow fans? We hold the record for a league trophy game outside of Wembley yet this is still belittled by a poster above. I was there and don't remember any empty seats in the home areas. A fiver to get in? So what. Fans came just because there was a bit of success. Some probably did come because they sensed a day out at Wembley. Isn't that what success does, bring out those who otherwise wouldn't attend? As far as I know we still hold the record for the biggest away following in this country (charity shield). Just a bit of success, that is all that is needed. We averaged 9332 in 2014/15 season which included 2 six fields games but they were counterbalanced by the bumper Gillingham return game. I get now you're talking about cumulative attendance's, which isn't surprising given we spent so long on thr top flight, but that's decades now and has no relevance to where we are now or a potential going forward. Depressingly, we're just not as big a club as we think we are.

You're right, but all their success is tempered down currently by such promise being nipped in the bud & abject failure being on the cards again I guess? And despite that.
The last 10 years have been the most successful in their history, numerous playoffs
3 promotions, inc to the top flight for the first time in their history, played in europe,
Enjoyed the best sustained support they've ever had.
Still called Hull City, still playing in the prem.
oh" and reached the FA cup final.
Where as we in the same 10 years have...........
So yeah I guess you're right, however shit it's been for us, at least we haven't had
To endure the 10 years of abject failure and misery of those poor souls.
I wouldn't swap places with them. Its fckin colder still there! The comments were about them having it harder/ worse owners than us, anyone
Who says they wouldn't swap places with them is either lying or daft.
Also I believe Allan has put them up for sale, so with parachute money (at least)
on the horizon, again how the fuck have they worse owners than us.
I'm sure when it comes to our owners, some people refuse to take a real look at
What is actually going on.
Which would pretty much put us back where we were - about 20kYep, an 11k increase in attendance since they won League One, again thus proving what investment and success can bring to a City.
Hi Harry
I'm going to the game tomorrow and bringing someone back after the game who may know a thing or two. Hopefully I can find out a bit more but I cant push him and I wont compromise him either. Like I have said from the start it is only a rumour, but I can confirm that it is going around the club and people in the know aren't saying much
Absolutely bang on, but some will never see it.The potential is there. Coventry people would be no different to those in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. Just to back Malaka here a little. Sisu are up to something in the background and it is to do with ccfc now a complete burden on their portfolio of investments. As I understand, they have been looking for a JV deal with potential investors or potential sell up if a certain price is matched. I have no idea what the price is. At the moment there isn't any money to put into the club. The club is barley ticking along and the only way for Sisu now is to find partners with money ready to invest or take what they can on their valuation. At the moment everything is on hold within the club until they know he next steps. Hence no progress on anything and temp manager etc.
There must be someone....a joint venture deal with sisu? Would anyone be really consider it?
I'm a tad sceptical yet am Convinced this was part of Andersons brief. You're normally on the ball as well AFCCov. Another shooting up the Xmas card list.
Two decent posters with similar tales...at least we know there IS a price now and they'd be willing to sell.
Just need someone with money.
Oh hi Red Bull...

AFCs post makes it sound like sisu are going to make it official that they are willing to sell the club or a share of the club rather than there is any actual interest from other parties - we'll see. You're normally on the ball as well AFCCov. Another shooting up the Xmas card list.
