It will be sorted. The issues there are primarily down the to fact that all traffic passing through Tollbar has to use the roundabout. The bulk of that traffic (A45-A46) will now go through the underpass meaning that traffic on the island itself will be much lighter.
...and anyway, I think there will be access direct off the A45 and via the flyover that goes towards Ryton.
Because no fucker can get there, might have escaped your notice but 90% of support comes from within the Coventry boundary and most can't be arsed to go to the edge of Longford to watch us so who will bother with a rural hike to Baginton village, no-one unless we are the new Barcelona. Club would be dead within a couple of years. In fact just in time for Coventry United to climb a couple of more leagues and pitch in for the vacant slot at the Ricoh !
How many CCFC fans do you think go to Wasps? Just curious. I don't know anyone who does. I wonder if it's a large number or not?
I don't really get this.
It would take about the same time for a lot of people who live on the allesley mount nod tile hill side and less time for those in Finham styvichall etc. also less time for binley and wyken.
Definitely better for leamington and Warwick as well.
Oh yes there are buses ! One an hour service bus i believe, so okay for matchdays lets increase that to, well lets be generous 6 an hour for ...mmm 2 hours whats that about 1000 if full, half of which will have to get there upto 2 hours before kick-off. Remember the glorious travel plan for the Ricoh, lasted about a year didn't it. Perhaps we could build 2 new stadiums one at Ryton and the other Eastern Green and use them alteranativelyHmm, people do have cars, and there are regular buses! The A45 links to the M1, A46 (M69) and M42, and people can't get there?!?! Plus a lot of people from South Coventry can't be bothered to hike to Longford, however Baginton would be much more accessible for us.

Well it will be good news then for the thousands who currently trek to the Ricoh from the football hot-beds of Leamington and Warwick.I don't really get this.

I'm guessing a large number have been to CCFC games in the past 3/4 years, whether they are still active attending supporters of the football club I'd guess that number is a lower.
Just an observation I've made from looking through here, other social media sites and the telegraph comments, a lot of the new Wasps supporters rarely talk only about Wasps. Its always how great Wasps are in comparison with CCFC and SISU.

To be honest it's a good day out, go to the casino, then the game, back to the casino for a few drinks, bite to eat etc. etc and relatively cheap.
Won't happen, your as deluded as that daft chairman we have.20% of season ticket holders according to a recent survey.
Where do you think this place is? It's 15 minutes drive from the City Centre!
Agree to an extent. Ccfc needs to win the fans back but I would also say that ccfc fans could do the club a favour by also boycotting wasps.

Touched a nerve?
Yeah I was in the pub the other day and this couple were talking to someone else how great it is at wasps.
They said they used to go to ccfc games but don't know, were glad the club didn't get the Ricoh as they are rubbish and are ruining the pitch for wasps. They hoped wasps kicked them out - would serve sisu right.
Only one viable site area for any stadium, Butts Park Arena, nice and central and already there and has a capacity at the moment for 10000 and room to expand.
They can fuck of and share with their mates at the Ricoh, marriage made in heaven for them. But joking aside the Butts Park Arena isn't as far fetched as some might think. Could the council object, how or why ? as it is used for spectator sport currently potentially for upto 10000, drop Cov rugger a few bob to piss off and then they can try compete with the WaspsI don't think Cov RFC would welcome us with open arms

Wasps will never be part of Coventry they can lead a merry dance all they want, in my eyes they are a franchise and will never be the number one sporting side in Coventry.
Yes, I agree. But they will be perceived as being the biggest sporting side in Coventry to the outside world. The only to change that is for City to get bigger crowds and have success themselves.

Baginton would be a disaster, Ricoh is far more accessible. To say that it is close to Willenhall is misleading as very few would walk from Willenhall to Baginton, there are very few houses within walking distance, the Ricoh has longford foleshill Keresley Holbrooks large population areas all within walking distance. Unless I'm missing something there is a huge bypass to cross in order to get from Cov to Baginton.
Butts Park for me, may not be feasible but its in the city and parking may be difficult right next to the ground but plenty of other parking in the city centre.
these type of wishy washy fair weather fans I can't stand.
to suddenly stop going to Cov to watch a totally different sport and a franchise team parachuted in from the capital, I just don't understand it at all.
The club don't need these type of fans who only turn up if the owners are nice and who talk to the council, any bloody excuse not to go so f**k the lot of them.
we need to build relationships with the youngsters in the city, get into the schools, youth clubs etc and give them a couple of games of free tickets and soon enough they will be dragging their Mum/Dads up again. Throw in a shirt if they go to twenty games and hey bingo we suddenly have there undying support, plus their parents, siblings who decide to go with them.
passionate supporters don't suddenly up and leave when some new franchise comes rolling into town.
Only the club does need them. If anything these "wishy-washy" fans are doubly important. If you can get them returning to CCFC it puts money in the clubs pocket, if you can get them coming to watch CCFC instead of Wasps you're also taking money out of Wasps pocket.
So your picking an unfeasible site? Might as well pick Ikea to place a ground there then surely??
