Exactly what it means, resources have been tight and we can’t compare to Ipswich and Sunderland in the marketplace. Equally we have had to sell assets to maintain this on top of lack of income coming through the door means money is tight. I’m not saying that we have no money to spend (which is clearly the tone of your comment), the club have done a good job to ensure he has funds the spend but it’s still tight and he has to spend wisely.Where does this stuff come from about having “fairly limited resources”?
We are rumoured go have spent 750k on a striker. When was the last time we spent a higher fee than that on a single player? Genuine question
I’d hazard a guess that we have a top five budget in this league and we did in league two as well.
So would you agree he’s likely had a top 5 playing budget in the league since his first full season here?Exactly what it means, resources have been tight and we can’t compare to Ipswich and Sunderland in the marketplace. And when he does I want a statue of him in town, because he’ll have elevated himself to the levels of Hill
Or Thorn !Slade aside :woot:
Blood is blue without oxygen (cov)
It's red with oxygen (sunderland)
Wow your keen to make your point aren’t you. Okay I’ll play...So would you agree he’s likely had a top 5 playing budget in the league since his first full season here?

And because we can’t compete with two teams who were in the championship last year, one of which is still receiving parachute payments of tens of millions of pounds per year, you therefore classify us as having “fairly limited resources”?
Do you not read that back and think it’s a bit silly?
Found his levelI'm only worried because the obvious replacement has just been appointed at Hereford.
Woah, We've got Michael Doyle, Woah.Plenty of fish in the sea.
Is Robins off to Stoke?
I feel like the whole house burns down if he goes?
Am I being paranoid?
Do I need to stop going the pub straight after work on a Friday?
Id expect him to go to stoke if they offered itI'm not too worried. He seems a good fit with us and I think his experience after leaving us previously will make him think long and hard before doing so again. That said I wouldn't be surprised to see other sides try for him. Stoke look a likely candidate to sack their manager, while if Sunderland were to have a bad spell I could see them doing likewise. It is those type of jobs I would expect Robins to be linked with.
Only for monetary reasons as it's a poisoned chalice. They've got a new generation of fans who think they've a divine right to top flight football, they have no foundations at all. Snook up in 2008 and made signings with the next season in mind only. All coming back to roost now.Id expect him to go to stoke if they offered it
Sounds familiar. They've got a new generation of fans who think they've a divine right to top flight football,
