See it's £24 for walk up price and individual matches seems a bit of a put off to me for what is fourth division football, just can't see too many deciding to go to a game off the cuff so to speak to go and watch with respect Accrington Stanley or Forest Green. Spoke to a few who feel the same way, not sure what the perfect price is but I think no more than 20 quid in my opinion.

Some just go to watch the City whoever they are playing, but for others, the draw of the opposition can be a deciding factor too.

I've relinquished my ST (minus the 6F fiasco) for the first time since I was 5, I was planning on maybe the odd game but those prices have put me off. I know a couple with ST and I will use theirs if spare but I will await til the new year til I purchase a match ticket and if we are doing that would probably be a half season ticket.

But is it a criminal price to watch City? Tricky one eh! I loathe sisu and hate to think I'm giving them anything, but I do think the manager and team deserve the support. It's what football is all about...the team and the fan! So I shall dig deep behind the sofa and empty every jar in the kitchen, and make my way up the M40 to see as many games as my work will allow...PUSB!

Yes it is a bit steep. I see the twenty is plenty campaign didn't last long. To put the prices up upon relegation is smacks of desperation and getting every last penny. Yes it will help robins and the squad but only if people pay it. I would rather have £20 in the bank and entice more people than £24 and put x amount of people off and you have nothing then. You also have the added bonus of more bums on seats and a better atmosphere etc.

I think it's disgusting for league 2 football and just as disgusting to charge a walk up fee when it simply makes no sense to penalize people in this way. Season tickets are the way to save money not getting a match ticket in the week to on the day. It just makes no sense. It's just a rip off and fans will see through it. They simply won't go or pay. Me included.

Last two seasons I've been to around 25 matches on a walk up on the day. It fits my life style of friends and work and yes weather to decide on the day. At 24 quid I can't justify it. Not saying I won't go. It I will be a bit more selective so probably going to around 4 games this season which is still 96 quid. My point is if I went to 9 games which is double at £20 that's £180 so the club has got another 80 out of me.

You buy a bottle of beer for £7 though and I would assume you have paid for a bottle of beer that you like and that you like the taste of.

You can pay £24 for a football match and end up with a pile of crap.

Yeah that's fine but a lot of people will be spur of the moment and you will only get a match package if you're planning to go.

Get your point Otis, but you can order a meal and feel a bit disappointed, or it was better than you expected. You go along to a footie match with similar expectations/outcomes (although being a City fan, the expectation hasn't been that high recently!)

I agree, but I would never not go to a game for the sake of a couple of quid. If it were Arsenal away and they wanted £60, then I would make a stand (unless it was Champions league semi final )

Never mind your expectation, the reality is 4th division football against 4th division
Opponents in a 3/4 empty stadium, its to expensive.

I don't think the increase in attendance justified the price drop with twentys plenty.

Where are we in relation to the rest of League 2? I mean £24 is high for the standard of the league, but without the arguments over the stadium - we rely on ticket income. There's no point in being pioneers if the rest of the league doesn't follow suit.

It needs to be FL initiative so everyone is on a level playing field

Price is a small proportion of the overall cost, but it is to expensive and doesn't really

Yep, I agree. I get an ST each season and just go to support my team. Some though do evaluate it all.

It is a bit steep yes, £20 maximum for football should be standard BUT try and not let the extra couple of quid put you off, we need all the cash we can get.

On the club level, it's not surprising they go with what they have. Really don't think dropping £4 will make much difference to walk-up next season anyway. It'll be are we winning or not that'll do that.

If we are struggling it will make no difference at all, they could charge £10 or £100 for Walk up
and it would make no difference.
It's if we are doing well and creating interest where it could make a difference, this is Where fair
weather fans come to the fore, £4 on a ticket will be enough to put some off IMO

I'm not going to defend the prices as they are over-priced but unfortunately that is football nowadays. I understand people refusing to give SISU any money, which don't fall into this category as the price wouldnt effect them buying one. People saying this level should be half that, my local non-league club charge £12 entry to put it into perspective. It's not great, it is annoying, it may put a few people off, but people who are going on the day aren't going to be every week regulars or they would have a season ticket or a match pack, so if you'd pay £18 but not £22 we're griping over what effectively is £4 now and then. When you break it down like that, it does seem rather silly. I know that won't be the case for everyone and it would be much harder for someone who's paying for an entire family but for the most part, this probably isn't worth all the fuss. I will probably end up going to maybe half the games this season, and a handful of away games, would I rather it was £18? Yes. Am I not going to go because of £4? No.

To me the price increases on pay on the gate and freezes on STs suggest Sisu are expecting our attendances to drop, hence their approach to charge less people more money.

I think our return to the Ricoh gave us one last chance to get the local people back on board with CCFC and Sisu have completely blown it.

When we returned, with the feeing of good will around the city and a bit of appeasement from the fans towards the board, Sisu should have dropped ticket prices to £10, got decent crowds in and had a real go at it.

Instead, we returned, went back to pre-sixfields prices - status quo resumed and here we are 3 years later with another relegation to our name.

That's right. This isn't really about whether CCFC are too expensive it's about whether football is too expensive.
Collymore was on twitter yesterday highlighting the price of an away ticket at Wednesday - £49!!

My thought is £24 over say £20 is not a lot but there's a physicalogical aspect that odd 4 quid I think will put off the cuff support off, it's an odd figure and imo sounds that much more expensive. Daft as it sounds it's the price of an extra pint I think people will stay in the pub
