Former Sky Blues boss threatened to punch Richard Keys

Is it any wonder we got in a mess even before SISU got here.....

It’s fair to say he didn’t have a lot of time for Robinson either, revealing the day the former chairman wanted to chivvy the troops up at Cardiff.

“We were playing at Cardiff and he asked me if it was OK if he went and wished the boys the best of luck,” said Adams.

“I said, 'yes, off you go,' and as it happened that day Cardiff City were warming up with sky blue tops on, so I was sat there with the physio and he went marching off onto the pitch before the game shaking hands with all the Cardiff players one by one and suddenly realised he’d got the wrong team.

“I just left him to it.”

Good old Geoffrey huh

If that's true (a big IF), then that's fucking outrageous.

Never let it be said that everything was rosy in the garden before SISU arrived. They inherited a total mess; their crime wasn't creating that mess, it was failing to improve things and making them far worse.

Yes they were the high flyers from the City with millions to invest and expertise in all fields to move the club forward.. .well in fairness they spunked a few quid of other people's dosh on crap managers and even worse players before deciding to asset strip us down to a shell of a club, two leagues below where we Began with them and with a third of the regular fanbase !

Yeah, read this yesterday. People think I am mad to not think SISU are really any worse than GR and co. They're not.

It's a bit of a race to the bottom really though isn't it. We are literally having a competition between fans on who has been the worst owners. It's embarrassing.

I did read yesterday's article in the CT but it's just the usual dribble from them.

Pugh, Pugh, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Drivel and Grubb ? What a team we had back then !

I take some kind of strange pride about supporting the shittest team in the world. Someone told me we have the lowest win % of any club in Europe over the last 50 years, no idea if it's true but it wouldn't surprise me.

I can believe that too. Still, we have maintained (just!) at a higher level than many teams who have won more games in lower leagues. What's better, being at the lower end of the 1st Div for 30 odd years and not winning many games, or clocking up wins in a promotion season from the Blue Square North?

Keys got Black sacked as well so it is suggested.

You could be right, they may not be any worse. But that doesn't mean we should not all still want to see the back of them.

Yeah! GR and co took us from the Championship to L2??????? Wait a sec.....

You are too thick to realise the irreparable GR & co did to the club:

Relegated from top flight after 34 years
Left club in £30m of debt despite a fire sale
Sold the club's ground for insecure tenure at an excessive rent
Sold the club's rights to any income at the Ricoh
Arranged the deal to bring SISU to the club

a couple of relegations is something that can be repaired in time, selling your home of 100 years without even foundations dug on a replacement is not.

Says the thick twat that can't see owners taking us to our lowest league position in over 50 years.
Thinking present owners are ok but forgets they turned down the chance to buy the Ricoh on several occasions.
Also stated by OSB58 the £2.8m offer by SISU didn't compare with Wasps offer of £2.77m, and was in fact derisory in comparison.

Start of a new sentence... Cap A........... You pass off a "Couple of relegations" as trivial. It could cost the Club virtually the whole of its fan base and you've got the nerve to call me thick?

The rent was a reasonable commercial rate given that the council had to recover their £31m investment over the 50 year timeframe of the lease. No commercial lender would have touched it, and I'm still not sure how they wangled it to get around the state aid rules. Don't forget the the CCFC owners were offered the option by the ACL shareholders to have a level of rent that varied according to the division we played in, but that was rejected by CCFC owners who clearly foresaw the success of "Operation Premiership" rather than relegation to League One.

Well they've done a good job on selling his book! Might have to get that.

And however inept I thought the unimpeachable Mr. Robinson was, I never thought he could surprise me...

I have said this countless times...the previous owners were shit and hamstrung us....but it has all been consigned to history, debating them changes nothing. The only people who can change things are the current owners. It is their watch, what have they achieved in moving the club forward? It is not like they have just been here 2 or 3 years.

Their biggest failure is to explain and engage the fans in the situation.

It is indeed true that only the present owners can change things.

But there shouldn't even be a debate about how ruinous the previous owners were. That's as crazy as suggesting SISU are actually alright!

I think the debates have been around SISU's failure to react to the situation they bought themselves into, rather than defend the catalogue of poor management that went before them.
