And marlon king I guess played in less games in boothroyd honeymoon as well.

No, but then again carsley and turner didn't play a game under thorn, and it was widely disputed them getting injured massively contributed to the dip in form under AB.

And not forgetting Westwood who missed the last 3-4 of AT's honeymoon period.

TBF we didn't have much of a choice with Keogh as he wanted to go and was in his last year of his contract.
We have lost players on free transfers before when we should have sold and got a fee for. Westwood for example

But no decent manager with a hard earned reputation would have stood for losing these players - Thorn accepts it because he knows he has a 'special' role.
In fact it is his Raison d'être - why he exists in the role - to provide little by way of a serious objection to shipping out players.
He has no rep as a manager so little risk if he fails - which he has done...
I thought he said he would walk if they sold keogh (or was it bigi) - anyone confirm?

What a load of bollocks - the club loaned out Conor Thomas to Liverpool with a view to a permanent move without even consulting AB.

Unless your fergie, mourinho, etc most manager have to do what the club owners say.
