Despite what you, Grendel and various others are trying so hard to pretend isn’t the case, he was our most successful manager in decades, so “pro Robins rhetoric” is kind of inevitable when comparing managers.
Which you never cease from mentioning . And btw I've never said that the Robins era was not the most successful in decades. If you're going to sling shit at bare minimum get your facts right .

He deserves more time and he’ll get more time, I’m saying that I see zero evidence whatsoever that he’s going to be a success, and I fear we’re now going to drift along waiting for some kind of spark that never comes. Portsmouth was worse than anything under Robins, and Lampard didn’t seem to have any idea what to do. Whatever about tactics, by now he should at least have instilled a bit of confidence & belief.

What is annoying is the way people are basically rewriting history, lying and trying to pretend Lampard has inherited a massive mess- he needs to be judged on results and results alone, zero sentiment or agenda- how long is it going to be “yeah but Robins wasn’t that good really/ yeah but Robins left him these players/ yeah but it’s not Lampard’s fault”…

Whichever way you slice it it’s been a very underwhelming start for Frank, and we need to see something very quickly.

Did you go to Rotherham away last season ?
Oh sorry forgot. You certainly wouldn't have been at that game

I thought the performance at Portsmouth was really poor in the 2nd half but certainly no worse than the performance against Derby at the CBS.
Clearly Frank Lampard needs time before being judged and also worth mentioning (not seen it mentioned anywhere tbh) is he doesn't as yet have Haji Wright available.... makes a big difference having the leading goalscorer in your team.
I'm sure we will see some activity in the January transfer window to try to improve the defence... it's piss poor currently.

Can't agree with that about Saturday, thought it was far worse than Derby. Easily our worse performance of the season

Chris , we had 23 shots and conceded the second goal on the 93rd minute ..

We got battered Saturday had 7 shots all game , it was worse full stop
We will disagree again . It was the most depressing Cov Championship game I went to last season and was a disorganised shambolic embarrassment similar to Saturday in that respect. Portsmouth have a lot more about them collectively than that Rotherham side and certainly had no player fit to wipe Matt Ritchie's boots

There has been some bad performances under robins sure but he was our manager for about 420 games in total .

I don't believe Rotherham last season was anywhere near as bad as Saturday but preston at home was pretty bad .

Jesus Preston at home was just depressing, with the tats injury and the werid light show.

Would also add the Stoke 4-0

Pointless arguing about what our worst performance has been. The top and bottom of it is Robins was superb for us but had reached the end of his road. Lampard is in situ but it can’t be argued this is his team. So comparisons should only be made 3-4 transfer windows in.

There’s no way that match was as bad as Portsmouth. In fairness it was in the middle of a run of 4 losses on the trot which was pretty depressing, but as a one off match I’d argue Portsmouth was much worse.

I respect your views, but really 3 or 4 windows, two years? Maybe you’re right and it’s impatience, I dunno, but that seems like an eternity.

King made the change to potentially salvage a playoff push but I don't think it's an expectation at all.
Don't think it would have been unreasonable of King to expect to beat Cardiff and Portsmouth. Those extra points would have seen us 10th, just 7 points off the play offs with half the season remaining.

If we were in that position and King came out and said we weren't spending in January as there was no chance of play offs people would be losing their minds on here.

Not really sure that the aim when we changed manager was to be sat here a few weeks later arguing if our latest performance was bad enough to be classed as the worst in years or if we can find one that was worse.

The second half vs Pompey was the worst half of football I’ve seen us play in years. Completely devoid of anything even remotely positive.

But then, according to the SBT Illuminati, it doesn’t count cuz I didn’t go.

Why would we expect to beat Portsmouth? They have had a good home record?

Strange comment
