Which you never cease from mentioning . And btw I've never said that the Robins era was not the most successful in decades. If you're going to sling shit at bare minimum get your facts right .Despite what you, Grendel and various others are trying so hard to pretend isn’t the case, he was our most successful manager in decades, so “pro Robins rhetoric” is kind of inevitable when comparing managers.
"Portsmouth was worse than anything under Robins "He deserves more time and he’ll get more time, I’m saying that I see zero evidence whatsoever that he’s going to be a success, and I fear we’re now going to drift along waiting for some kind of spark that never comes. Portsmouth was worse than anything under Robins, and Lampard didn’t seem to have any idea what to do. Whatever about tactics, by now he should at least have instilled a bit of confidence & belief.
What is annoying is the way people are basically rewriting history, lying and trying to pretend Lampard has inherited a massive mess- he needs to be judged on results and results alone, zero sentiment or agenda- how long is it going to be “yeah but Robins wasn’t that good really/ yeah but Robins left him these players/ yeah but it’s not Lampard’s fault”…
Whichever way you slice it it’s been a very underwhelming start for Frank, and we need to see something very quickly.
I thought the performance at Portsmouth was really poor in the 2nd half but certainly no worse than the performance against Derby at the CBS.
Clearly Frank Lampard needs time before being judged and also worth mentioning (not seen it mentioned anywhere tbh) is he doesn't as yet have Haji Wright available.... makes a big difference having the leading goalscorer in your team.
I'm sure we will see some activity in the January transfer window to try to improve the defence... it's piss poor currently.

Did you go to Rotherham away last season ?
Oh sorry forgot. You certainly wouldn't have been at that game
2nd half was really bad I agree.... only positive is FL and his team now know exactly where and what changes are required. Can't agree with that about Saturday, thought it was far worse than Derby. Easily our worse performance of the season
I was at the game , we lost 2-0 wasn't as bad as Saturday"Portsmouth was worse than anything under Robins "

It was against a side that got relegated , were dire all season with a way worse record than Portsmouth . You must have had too many beers beforehand to see that performance for what it was.I was there , it wasn't
Chris , we had 23 shots and conceded the second goal on the 93rd minute ..It was against a side that got relegated , were dire all season with a way worse record than Portsmouth . You must have had too many beers beforehand to see that performance for what it was.
We were bad at Rotherham the season we won league 1The way this seasons going, you probably should think about starting.
We will disagree again . It was the most depressing Cov Championship game I went to last season and was a disorganised shambolic embarrassment similar to Saturday in that respect. Portsmouth have a lot more about them collectively than that Rotherham side and certainly had no player fit to wipe Matt Ritchie's bootsChris , we had 23 shots and conceded the second goal on the 93rd minute ..
We got battered Saturday had 7 shots all game , it was worse full stop
I went straight to work after that game so I was teetotal that night

Yes I would say that was the last time we were as bad as we were in the second half at the weekendWe were bad at Rotherham the season we won league 1
Was trying to think when the last time I attended a performance as bad as Saturday and Rotherham that year was the one that came to mind
The point was that we saw the game differently under the same circumstances.Great , but I never suggested you were drunk

Jesus Preston at home was just depressing, with the tats injury and the werid light show. There has been some bad performances under robins sure but he was our manager for about 420 games in total .
I don't believe Rotherham last season was anywhere near as bad as Saturday but preston at home was pretty bad .
That was the playoff season right ?Jesus Preston at home was just depressing, with the tats injury and the werid light show.
Would also add the Stoke 4-0
Yeah, don’t get me wrong I loved that season and team but remember being so depressed at that match. That was the playoff season right ?
It's quite hard to play 46 matches and not be shit a couple of timesYeah, don’t get me wrong I loved that season and team but remember being so depressed at that match.
Oh 100% percent just that match was something elseIt's quite hard to play 46 matches and not be shit a couple of times

Pointless arguing about what our worst performance has been. The top and bottom of it is Robins was superb for us but had reached the end of his road. Lampard is in situ but it can’t be argued this is his team. So comparisons should only be made 3-4 transfer windows in.
Don't think it would have been unreasonable of King to expect to beat Cardiff and Portsmouth. Those extra points would have seen us 10th, just 7 points off the play offs with half the season remaining.King made the change to potentially salvage a playoff push but I don't think it's an expectation at all.

If we were in that position and King came out and said we weren't spending in January as there was no chance of play offs people would be losing their minds on here.
Not really sure that the aim when we changed manager was to be sat here a few weeks later arguing if our latest performance was bad enough to be classed as the worst in years or if we can find one that was worse.
