We're a fucking big clubYou just gotta face realitydeluded if think decent investment going to come. No clubs spending after covid other than the big clubs but Robins has had the backing to build a decent team this season. Why am I arguing with these miserable overreacting saddos anyway
You are one thick bastard. We are currently operating on the breadline and don’t even have a full squad.Hahaha god your fucking thick. How was today SISUS fault?
Would you have said that if we battered them. Today was unfortunate.
How come Hull have just bid £2.5m for a striker then? You just gotta face realitydeluded if think decent investment going to come. I think he’s drunkYou've clearly not been reading people's posts properly mate.
Good, add Stoke to the list.
not a chance

If our recruitment was a bit less erratic then I’m sure SISU would invest more easily.
SISU are a stone cold business unlike many other club owners, who are either fans, egotists or see a club as a grown up train set.
SISU refer to football as “product”, fans as “consumers”, players are therefore stock or assets.
There has been a lot of talk about following the “Brentford Model”
Very few free transfers are actually “free”. Signing on fees and agents fees and then contract length etc.
The Da Costas, Hillsners, Jobello’s, were punts that didn’t work out. They could have set the world alight & in turn become a stock / asset, but they haven’t and their contracts become a liability. Add Bright to the list. Maybe Pask. Would Brentford have taken similar punts? Probably. They’ve not worked out but they were young and may have done. Worth a punt.
Gyok & Sheaf we’re money investments but young and well trialled before hand.
Waghorn broke the buying rule.
He’s 31 and was very unlikely to be an appreciative asset. His signing fee, agent fee and wage won’t be peanuts. Brentford model signing? Nope.
I’ve nothing against Waghorn, but he was a mistake from the off. SISU won’t be impressed and it’s things like this that will make them think twice.
Oh dear.Hahaha god your fucking thick.
Solid foundations. What an overreaction to a game where with even a slight proportion of luck we would have won. Is it really worth 'throwing a couple of million' at promotion this season?
Chances of us getting into the play offs even before todays game i would put at about 15%. If we then got into the play offs at best we would have a 25% chance of promotion.
15% x 25% = 3.75%.
Surely its worth sticking to our model of slow, incremental progress? I understand fans initial frustrations after losing a game especially when dominating for long parts but lets relax. Id rather the extra couple of million that fans are wanting to be spent on loan fees were spent on permanent players over the next couple of seasons and laying more solid foundations for our football club.
Doea anyone remember the days of Russell Slade, Nathan Clarke, kevin Foley and Yakubu?

The excuses being trotted out to defend the owners and their interests rates are bizarre. If this continues the club won’t progress further than this and has a much greater chance of being relegated back down to League 1 again.
Stop charging the interest to start with.So what's the answer?
Not ro bd a knob but we're just coning out of a global pandemic, why would thsy soend millions upon millions to help a club acheive whT its doing right now without the investment?
Do you want to see us pop like reading, derby, probably stoke and barnsly all for breaking fpr? Think i wouod rather stick with bare minimum investment without breaking the rules, especially for a few years.
It’s a much bigger issue and nothing to do with a single game. This rant/thread has came off the back of a defeat, where it can easily be argued that we dominated and many people wouldn't have questioned if we had won by a couple of goals.
Massive overreaction (colour me shocked)
Thread would never have happened if we had won (or even drew) yesterday. Read through the threads on this site. Very few expected anything out of the game, and that was before Godden was unfortunately ill.
Clowns
I would agree with that. I would also say the bench was strong yesterday and we were competitive against a side in form. We have come a long long way and would exercise caution at this time coming out of the pandemic but I do think it’s time to start trading, I wouldn’t be adverse to giving Robins the go ahead to upgrade. Hopefully that would revive the team and the fans. How many times do people have room say this,no one is talking about emulating Derby or Reading, just giving Robins a few additions of championship quality to a paper thin squad.
Dont think the squad is championship quality? We just blew a team out the water litreally a week ago, and we outplayed ine of the best in the league yeaterday not to mention smashing Fulham 4-1 and drawing to blackburn and bournmouth. How many times do people have room say this,no one is talking about emulating Derby or Reading, just giving Robins a few additions of championship quality to a paper thin squad.

Think you're a bit harsh on some of those. What's maybe more fair is we don't have much flexibility on *who* we can put on the bench. It's basically whoever's fit.The bench yesterday:
Rose - Championship player
Waghorn - Championship player
Wilson - Despite 2 decent games not sure he's up to this level.
Kelly - finished at this level.
Bidwell - Don't know much about him but looked rusty when he came on.
Jones - I think he's up to this level but he's been reduced to cameos as he returns from serious injury.
Eccles - Novice
We need more quality to move forward.
It isn’t worth a punt though. It would be a huge gamble. Look at all the clubs who have tried it and failed. Reading may well end up like Derby next season.Agree the loans still cost but only likely to be wages between now and the end of the season so a one off gamble. If we get promoted it’s 100m and SISU are sorted. SISU would have to fund the cost obviously but as I said it’s worth a punt for them as much as the club
I still think we might get at least one in but maybe I’m just an optimist
Are we back at the stage of wanting any owners to spend more than we get in?They are blowing the best chance we’ve had in 20 years of going up from this league
Not denying that, but claiming we're not good enoigh to be championship level as we're is bollocks, we need investment to push on past championship no doubt but the club is not ready for the prem not even close, we woukd be embarrassed on and off the field if we somehow got up.The bench yesterday:

Maybe with a sarcastic comment in your case?Where to start with this, seriously
Well why have Hull’s new owners bought them?
