Number one it’s bollocks about needing huge players to win games in this league. McNulty and Doyle are good enough and they ain’t big physical specimens.
Number 2 Most successful teams have mixture of young guns and experienced heads. Too much of either usually leads to disaster.
Number 3-Its mostly down to style of play.
If you have huge physical players then playing a technical, passing game is not going to cut it. Hence why Wycombe and Lincoln play the style they do.
What’s worrying and something I can’t understand is when teams like City play hoof ball when they clearly haven’t the players to play in this style.
If you kick the ball at the goal hard enough, does the ball know it was kicked by an old player or a young player?
The answer is of course NO, it makes no difference at all.
And is it pure coincidence that Bayliss is playing the worst we have seen him because of Doyles absence also Kelly underpar although obviously Kelly is no kid
