It would not surprise me if the U23 signing to a Premier Club has to be confirmed first before this signing....

Yeah was about to say if you think 12k is bad here it’s just as bad in the lower leagues

Weren’t Salford paying Adam Rooney 10k whilst in the national league.

I believe they were paying him £4k pw, which is still far above the average wage in the NL.

NL is terrible for overspending as there's no real FFP equivalent. As shown by the reported wages of Paul Mullin at Wrexham.

It doesn’t appear to be very thought out does it?

And if Da Costa is now in the “bomb squad”, that’s another player who’s still got 2 years left…

Remember Marosi was Doncaster's reserve keeper, who had only played a full season because their first choice was injured.

Marosi was released by them:

He wasn't released, he turned Doncaster down. I think Grant McCann stated in the press at the time that they'd struggled to agree a new deal with him, hence why he left.

Da Costa isnt and shouldn't be in the bomb squad, hes more than adequate cover for Dabo, Reid on the other hand looked miles away on Wednesday, couldnt compete at all, so can see why the need for Maatsen cover is high priority.

and Da Costa hasn't looked miles away in both games this season?!
The comparison between Da Costa and Reid is night and day, in both halves everything went through Da Costa because he was quite literally our only outlet untill Maatsen came on. Did Reid get over the half way line at all? I remeber he turned back at one point to Wilson when he had half the pitch to run into.

Did any of the team come out of Wednesdays game with credit ? Even Shipley played "well" and people on here want him in League 1.

No chance Da Costa is in the bomb squad.

MR prefers him over Pask.
He's a weird one Dacosta. I feel there's something there, more so than some of the other dodgy foreign freebies. But he hasn't done himself any favours so far this season, that's for sure.
Either way, I'm not sure we should be concentrating any funds on a backup RWB. He'll do for now.
