Another name that Stuart Linnell has heard popped up. He seems to think ALF is heading to Sheff Wed now though.

Linnell just makes things up. He linked us with Kevin Motion who has only just moved clubs. About as reliable as transfer-rumours.co.uk

Haha he says hes 'hearing' these things. Also says he think we will have 1 or 2 in by Saturday and AT and Chairman are very good at keeping things quite.

Linnell put earlier that he had hears Le Fondre was a done deal, half an hour later he's joining Sheff Weds.

If he mentions enough names then he'll get one right and it will be enough to keep his band of merry followers happy

Myself I can't see any signings happening and would be very surprised if anything did happen. Its all rumours put out by the club to sucker more people into season tickets. Buy a ticket for the right reasons don't be fooled.

I know what you mean, SBJ; I had a rare day of not being able to get online all day. When I got in to see the frenzy of long threads on signings, I initially assumed something had actually happened today. The reality, at best, is that we may have offered a contract to a player who has been injured for almost a year (cruciate at that) who wants around twice what we can offer-and I'm not convinced about that one either as it's based on a couple of very vague sources.

The best we can hope for is a reasonably-waged Kevin Lisbie on a free. Not a great player, but not a huge financial risk, and one more player than I expected us to sign under this ownership! But the Le Fondre, Andrews etc specualtion is a bit silly. Is it all just wishfull thinking?
