Posting some stats is not a witch hunt. Do you think those stats are acceptable?

Imagine the reaction if Palmer put up those numbers, now that would be a witch hunt.

Remember your witch hunt against Wilson?
I've never resorted to seeking out such stats to discredit a player in such detail - it's bizarre.

What? Such detail? 😂

It takes like 20 seconds to look that up

You spent months slating Wilson and that's fine but posting a few stats is a bizarre witch hunt? 😂

And you felt the need to post it across two threads just to hammer it home.

Thought he played well today up against 11 players all a foot or more taller then him.

Oh no, not two threads!

Your Wilson witch hunt was a bit more than a few stats in two threads.

you don’t watch the games though?

Allen is a better player than Shipley but he is so limited yesterday was awful I don't remember him being involved at all.

Now I’m more calm and less emotional. Should live in this space more often

What does Robins get from Allen that I don’t understand?

He is very fit, he runs all day and does seem to stick to his job more than others in the same position. He often covers others who have gone forward from centre back or right wing back or left wing back

Is that what it is?

In my mind when sheaf was out and palmer came in I was concerned that Allen would be alongside Hamer and it felt first half we were effectively playing a man down

I was so surprised that Burroughs didn’t come in right wing back and Eccles move into centre mid at half time.

Was also surprised after the sending off that Hamer moved to right wing back for 5 mins or so.

Robins is the king but I’d really love to know how Allen can go from not good enough to a key player and captain this season.

He does give his all but I fully expect him to play very little first team football next season

He was a key player last season too, and played 22 games the season before, so wasn't exactly an outcast.

Did I dream he was in the be allowed to leave group? I may have
It was strongly suggested he was off. Viveash has always rated him however and pushed Robins to play him more in our first season back in the Championship.

The point being however, even when supposedly cast out, he still played 22 times in this division in the season.

I don't recall a single touch in the first half from Allen, perhaps someone can put me right 🤔

Allen's role isn't to be part of a possession based way of playing, he's there to help the quick transition from defence to attack (and he can be pretty good at that).

I'm not sure why he's the fall guy - I highly doubt he's one of the highly paid players yet has contributed sufficiently this season despite that.

I don't get slating OUR players MR picks them he is the one you should be having ago at.On Saturday their goal Casey Palmer didn't do what Hamer asked ended up marking no one like a few more i might add ended up setting it up for a player whom should have been been picked up by Wilson Esbrand . I don't feel the need to slate them (team game ).I will say this in Allen's defence when he was taken off our pressure on their goal waned dispite playing against ten men.

Sorry senior moment.I just find this slating of Allen all wrong it makes me mad.I was there honest.

Like Biamou it’s a classic SBT spiral of someone saying they’re not good enough, others feeling the need to overdo it to defend him, more coming in saying the overdone is overdone and overdoing it them selves in response. Until all that’s left is two sides one saying an average to below average player is dogshit and the other saying he’s the next incarnation of Pele.

What I particularly don't understand is last season general consensus was he'd done quite well. This season, despite doing just as well, he's the devil incarnate!

He's not the fall guy, I just think most people would like to see more than just 'sufficient' for a team trying to establish themselves in the top 10 of the Championship. I don't have a problem with having 'sufficient' squad players, but I'd like to see our regular starters being more than that.

If Palmer or Sheaf had put up Allen's numbers from Saturday they'd (rightly) get absolutely pilloried. He was an absolute passenger unfortunately.
