Be a bit strange for doug to upset lampard on his very first transfer window
If we move on Lati, Collins and Tavares I'll be buzzing. Will be like unblocking a stubborn turd from the U-bend.Well let’s hope but it’s not looking very promising is it
Not really, a good end to the season could make a huge difference in season ticket sales.Going to support Doug here actually. Lampard was hired on the understanding he could get more from what we’ve got and so far he hasn’t. Any loan unless it’s followed up with a season long isn’t going to be much use and isn’t going to be the difference between us going down or staying up. Sheaf is back in five weeks or so and there will be a rebuild in the summer.
As a fan I want a loan in, as a pragmatist it’s probably a waste of cash.
That would be great but we need to add tooIf we move on Lati, Collins and Tavares I'll be buzzing. Will be like unblocking a stubborn turd from the U-bend.
True but I'm not the slightest bit bothered about that unless it has direct consequences regarding a player who we want to bring in.Other teams making moves though

We wouldn't let all them go and do nothing tbh. It just wouldn't happen. That would be great but we need to add too
Not everything is copeDid a bad one make any difference last year? I think that ship has sailed and this is just cope from fans who want a better product on the pitch.
Throw in JDS over the summer tooIf we move on Lati, Collins and Tavares I'll be buzzing. Will be like unblocking a stubborn turd from the U-bend.

We got to an FA Cup semi mate, most forgave the poor end.
Maybe Lampard thinks different, but to your other point I'd also suggest it would put us in pole position to get back for next season.I just don’t think a kid of his first loan is going to be the difference.

We'll find out how true the no loans thing is soon enough I suppose. Tbh I'm not against owning your players and some loans definitely seem to be done almost for the sake of it, but we should be pursuing them if they make sense of course.Just trying to think like Doug here (*cough* ciddy ciddy), if he’s expecting a big rebuild then maybe wants no loans again next season.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Lampard walks if he’s putting a stop to loans
Man I loved the first Presley year. Thought it was brilliant and he’d get us up the league. Only to get sacked after losing to Worcester. We had this for 5+ years w Robins (and before that with Presley). People claimed he was surely about to walk as Sisu wouldn’t put their hands in their pockets/ kept selling the family silver/ wouldn’t give Carl Baker a new contract….
Seen too many players join and are pants only to end up as heroes. Chris Cattlin and Cyrille Regis are two that come to mind. BTA was top scorer for West Brom in a very defensive counter attacking side. All our strikers are struggling mainly due to the lack of quality balls from midfield or even on the turnover from opposition corners. Pace is BTAs big asset. Teams sit deep against us, so we need to find better ways to get our strikers more involved.I want him to be good, I'm a big advocate of giving players time and I like to think I'm good at seeing green shoots in new players I expect to come good. Not seeing it with him I'm afraid, be tempted to cut our losses as long as its not too much.
Keep hearing about this loan that didn't materialise but very sceptical to be honest. Where did that information come from?
Austin spoke about loans at the forum and why they were problematic but never mentioned we'd had one lined up which given the context of what he was saying seemed strange.
McConnell from Liverpool and a young lad from Villa I thinkHe’s been named on here but cant remember who it was.

who has actually said thatIf we get rid of Collins surely we have to get another keeper in, as we need 4 keepers in the squad apprently
So if we do sign players in this window will you finally post something vaguely positive? Or as i suspect you will just insist they are all shit and we have no ambition?Well if it’s true then why are you so in denial? Hopefully by the end of the window we have got some in but it doesn’t look very positive does it? Teams around us strengthening too
Obviously? But the way it’s going at the minute it doesn’t look like we have much ambitionSo if we do sign players in this window will you finally post something vaguely positive? Or as i suspect you will just insist they are all shit and we have no ambition?
that would be cutting off his nose to spite his faceGoing to support Doug here actually. Lampard was hired on the understanding he could get more from what we’ve got and so far he hasn’t. If the loans thing is true, then there’s going to be issues down the line with Lampard etc.Was told today of a delay on the Rak Sakyi deal. And no one needs to believe me, dont need any 'heres your agenda'stuff, but again it's down to Doug being funny about loans.....
Outs wise, Hull and Blackburn want BTA but it will be for less than we paid, so it's probably not a goer. Tavares and Collins both have solid L1 interest. Collins will be harder to Shift however as he's sat on a nice contract for the next 18 months.
Lati deal still on
Prep for league oneDoug won’t admit it, but this seasons gone, no point chucking money at loans, it‘ll be a very quiet January and a very busy summer

Beginning to think the same. There is some merit in getting rid of the dead wood first. It is starting to feel like the goal for this window is to try to line up exits rather than prioritise incomings to put us in a better stead for the summer.
