Agree to a point but surely the real value for DK will be created by the team achieving promotion? I get not over extending on loans, but a couple of astute loans to help create a winning team, preforming well, will in tern increase the value of the other players in the team. Not necessary true .From a business perspective the choice is to own the asset or pay to utilise it and then return it. He could easily have made the decision that owning the players and creating additional future value is the best way to go .
Was hoping Wright was sooner than that, feels like fucking forever. Two of those three expected back not that long after the transfer window closes, so you wouldn't really do anything about them. It is concerning if we do not do anything about central midfield as we are down to the bare bones.
It does, especially after that rumour that his injury wasn't as serious as initially thought. If anything, it seems now to have been worse than initially thought. Was hoping Wright was sooner than that, feels like fucking forever.
Actually injury like he had is likely 10-12 weeks - which takes us towards end of Jan. so as frustrating as it is, it roughly on time.It does, especially after that rumour that his injury wasn't as serious as initially thought. If anything, it seems now to have been worse than initially thought.
Weirdly there’s a minority of posters on here opposed to them, which is bizarre but they’re mostly boo boys.DK can only see loans as dead money because someone has told him so. That will surely be Dean Austin plus he got burned with the Yassin Ayari experience. Logic should tell him that we got into the playoff final with multiple loans and surely contradicts what he thinks / has been told.

and nonsense given we tried to load a Liverpool player last window and we look to be trying to loan at least 1 player this windowThis apparent loan strategy, it's all speculation.
The first game after Robins was let go wasn't it. So much has happened since then which makes it seem even longer. It does, especially after that rumour that his injury wasn't as serious as initially thought. If anything, it seems now to have been worse than initially thought.

it's just made up anti DK nonsense
there has been multiple sources including on hereWhere is this coming from about the Liverpool player?
Strange Austin never mentioned it at the forum.
Fact is we've supplemented our squad with loans, (often too many), for years and now we're the only Championship club without one .

believe what you want though
We’re not getting promoted this year though are we.Agree to a point but surely the real value for DK will be created by the team achieving promotion? What BTA interest?Just seen Tom Cannon has gone from Stoke. If the BTA interest is true, should hopefully intensify the interest
Up until 3 years ago people would be moaning at the amount of loans and no permanent signings. Funny how it all changes.Where is this coming from about the Liverpool player?

Made up on here but we can keep our fingers crossed i suppose. What BTA interest?

Still does not make much sense not having them. Would you rather a young LB who turns out to be not good enough/ready who can go back to parent club after 6 months or sign someone like Da Silva on a 4 year contract who will be hard to move on.

Aside from that, Cannon leaving is a big blow for Stoke.
Off to Sunderland?Made up on here but we can keep our fingers crossed i suppose.

They'll have plenty of ££££ to chuck at a decent loanee/ replacement. Can't see an established striker wanting to move there.Bet the Stokies arn't happy at that! 7/2 for the drop..... maybe worth a dabble.

Can’t use the money due to FFP reading Stoke fans posts on XThey'll have plenty of ££££ to chuck at a decent loanee/ replacement. Can't see an established striker wanting to move there.
A couple of posters who are overly negative about everything at the moment.Who's opposed to loans??
We want to be really careful wishing to strip our squad. Us fans are so short sighted. A month ago people were begging for EMC to be shipped out
Simms needs a goal. If he'd scored that volley against the Owls, on top of his performance, we'd be saying the beast is back. We know he's a confidence player. One striker has to go really, whether it be now or in the summer.
Having both Simms and BTA on the books is too much of an overhead given they'll both be on significant contracts and neither are really starting consistently.
To be honest I think there's an argument to be made that Simms could be the more likely to be moved on but it's whether clubs would be willing to match his wages and what kind of bids we receive.
