It does, especially after that rumour that his injury wasn't as serious as initially thought. If anything, it seems now to have been worse than initially thought.

I'm trying to save judgement till the end of the window, but we desperately need at least a creative midfielder in after not replacing o'Hare or Palmer, can't believe king can't see that.

Actually injury like he had is likely 10-12 weeks - which takes us towards end of Jan. so as frustrating as it is, it roughly on time.

DK can only see loans as dead money because someone has told him so. That will surely be Dean Austin plus he got burned with the Yassin Ayari experience. Logic should tell him that we got into the playoff final with multiple loans and surely contradicts what he thinks / has been told.

Weirdly there’s a minority of posters on here opposed to them, which is bizarre but they’re mostly boo boys.

Two of those three expected back not that long after the transfer window closes, so you wouldn't really do anything about them. It is concerning if we do not do anything about central midfield as we are down to the bare bones.

and nonsense given we tried to load a Liverpool player last window and we look to be trying to loan at least 1 player this window

it's just made up anti DK nonsense

The first game after Robins was let go wasn't it. So much has happened since then which makes it seem even longer.

Where is this coming from about the Liverpool player?
Strange Austin never mentioned it at the forum.

Fact is we've supplemented our squad with loans, (often too many), for years and now we're the only Championship club without one .

There have been multiple sources on here said King is adverse to loans as well.
It's not a case of believing anything really.
Its just a case of questioning what's going on.

Has the demographic of the squad changed, yes.
Is that down to King? I can't say for sure but I suspect it could be.

Agree to a point but surely the real value for DK will be created by the team achieving promotion? I get not over extending on loans, but a couple of astute loans to help create a winning team, preforming well, will in tern increase the value of the other players in the team.

We’re not getting promoted this year though are we.

Just seen Tom Cannon has gone from Stoke. If the BTA interest is true, should hopefully intensify the interest

Up until 3 years ago people would be moaning at the amount of loans and no permanent signings. Funny how it all changes.

Still does not make much sense not having them. Would you rather a young LB who turns out to be not good enough/ready who can go back to parent club after 6 months or sign someone like Da Silva on a 4 year contract who will be hard to move on.

We want to be really careful wishing to strip our squad. Us fans are so short sighted. A month ago people were begging for EMC to be shipped out

Made up on here but we can keep our fingers crossed i suppose.
Aside from that, Cannon leaving is a big blow for Stoke.

They'll have plenty of ££££ to chuck at a decent loanee/ replacement. Can't see an established striker wanting to move there.

May be in the minority, but don't really want to see anyone come in during this window. Would rather the club carefully crafted a long list of targets for the summer based on how FL wants to set up, we wait to see who leaves/incoming offers for players at end of season, and then build a well rounded squad early for next season.

Wouldn't be opposed to a loan or 2 to supplement the squad over the next few months though.

The pure ignorance on this thread of us potentially sleepwalking into a relegation battle is mad

Our 3 best players are out injured currently. 2 of them nowhere near returning yet

Before we know it we are another 8 games down. We need signings

One striker has to go really, whether it be now or in the summer.

Having both Simms and BTA on the books is too much of an overhead given they'll both be on significant contracts and neither are really starting consistently.

To be honest I think there's an argument to be made that Simms could be the more likely to be moved on but it's whether clubs would be willing to match his wages and what kind of bids we receive.

An addition has to happen, someone to lift the standards of what is expected of the players on the pitch. Sounds stupid but one new body in midfield (needed) should lift everyone's game to raise their standards. I personally don't think we've had the new manager bounce at all apart from EMC and Dovin, possibly Kitching now too.

I want signings, we all do. And we need to be careful with talk of 'we're safe from the drop' No one is safe and it's ususally teams who think they're okay and go on the beach in feb who then can't get off it.

Simms needs a goal. If he'd scored that volley against the Owls, on top of his performance, we'd be saying the beast is back. We know he's a confidence player.

A bit like the Colins saga when all fans were crying out for Dovin and all fans were crying out for Kithcing. Stop fucking about now and start Simms the next block of 5 games and say to him, the shirt is yours, go out there and fucking do what we know you can do.

The silence is deafening, worrying really when it's so obvious we need bodies in.

Any more on Lati going out as all seems under lock and key, not a whisper anywhere about it..

Surely something has to happen this week, it's been 2 weeks now
