Have to say, I think the opposite re Lati on the ball. Think he’s the weakest of the lot.

He’s a better longer range passer than people give him credit for. Pinged some great balls in the last couple of games in particular. However, on the ball/ball at his feet he looks uncomfortable and like a number of our players has been guilty of a lot of sideways/backwards passes this season

Said it before individually our players are a lot better than they’ve performed this season. Whether it’s confidence, how we’re set up etc I’m not sure, but they’ve all got more in their locker

If they don't want to be here and not committed then it doesn't help anyone, I could understand if they were playing their bollocks off but not many of the players look like they give a toss atm.
Sounds like modern football to me.

We are very happy to tempt players to leave their existing clubs to join us.

Not sure why players leaving us is any different.

How much do we think we get for MvE and Wright combined? It could cover all of the spending in at least the first summer under King when they were signed. Then we'd have to have an awkward convo about whether the recruitment is actually that bad.

This is it.

He can ping a long pass no problem. But panics when pressed and has a poor first touch. Don’t care how he runs tbh, but he’s not particularly quick which is also a bit of an issue.

I still think he could come good as a head it / kick it CB in the Champ - that’s when he has been at his best for us.

It's a good thing for us, I like Lati but he's not a top quality CB. A good utility player but if it allows us to recruit some better defenders then that is a good thing.

Lati to Rob Holding would be great business
Got no problem losing Lati, i hope we don't end up having a fire sale.

Take Hamer and big Vik. They average 2 years at a club before they move on.

I have no doubt at all that Hamer would have moved in the summer if another premier league club had offered the right deal, and Vik will move in the summer.

it’s not personal, it’s not about Coventry, it’s the modern player, and their agents.
Both players had proven themselves among the best in this league. Aside from Wright, nobody being linked comes close to that.

I’m not surprised they want out, I am surprised most of them have offers given their shite form.

Selling more than one player in Jan is a recipe for disaster.

Lati going makes sense but we need to get a CB and a RB to replace him.

The value of the rest won’t change much between now and the summer, and if anything (barring serious injury) will only rise if the teams form picks up

I see you laugh reacting me! I see you!

It’s the “he panics on the ball” when our other CBs are Thomas and Kitching.

How Bobby Thomas has the rep he’s got I’ll never know. People must be watching a different game to me where he’s not constantly out of position, making rash challenges, and failing to make five yard passes.

You are pretty much the only person who holds this opinion so when his transfer to Barcelona comes through you can dine out on it for ages and also then I’ll pile in on the Lampard sacking threads and back you up.

Me, and seemingly three professional football managers and Frank Lampard.

Don’t care what successive managers think Lati is not a good centre half. Not imposing, i shake like a shitting dog when he’s on the ball, frequently out of position and never offers a goal threat. The only alarming thing is he’s one of our better ch’s. If cash is on the table I’d take it very quickly

I honestly would drive Lati and MVE anywhere they wanted to go. Having said that, both would need substantial replacements. Can’t see both happening this month, too risky.

In all seriousness he’s probably the most saleable of the CBs and we need an experienced CB in so why not?

Hes nowhere near as bad as made out on here though and his career proves it.

They told me through the medium of team selection and signings.

Thomas went L1 to Champ and then straight back to L1 until we got him.
The way you try and gain the upper ground is very strange sometimes 😆
Thomas has been ahead of Lati at CB pretty much since he joined. Lati just gets shifted around as a utility player.
