As bad as they collectively all are it seems a strange one at this stage of the season to be orchestrating a mass exodus.

I presume a lot of it is agent talk from players looking to jump ship.

That's because as I stated the other day, loads of them want out and are getting their agents working overtime

We have a bunch of pricks as a squad at the moment but to say that means you're a shit fan on here
I think you're probably right with some of them thinking they're better than they are/agents blowing smoke up their arse.

Although I have some sympathy as they would have been sold the promotion dream like all of us.

Proves what a mess we made last summer, biggest expenditure on players in donkeys years & the majority of them already want out already or aren’t good enough and the fans have written off

Sympathy for who? It’s their fault as individuals we’ve been such a poor outfit this year. Not one player has impressed

Why would you have sympathy? The players are literally the reason we are where we are. Wright aside, i don't think any can really hold their heads high this season.

Sorry i missed this when i uploaded my post. Makes sense. To be honest if that's the case good riddance as they're completely spineless anyway.

Who are the main "pricks" and who wants out!?

What are the reasons if you take the "prick" factor out ..??

Change in manager?
Poor coaching? (Maybe not the case now?)
Poor team position?
Pricks in the camp making day to day environment not pleasant??

I don't think any one individual player is to blame for the malaise. I would say there have been failings across playing staff, coaching, recruitment, direction at the top of the club.

So I can have some sympathy for a young player who's been sold a dream that looks miles away.

It’s not even that. You really don’t see thundering tackles anymore. It’s about interceptions and pressing to force errors. We are not very good at that either though. We also don’t track runners well.
Thing is, that was what Sheaf was good at when on form. We've missed that severly this season

Overview of a Prick

Prick is a vulgar word for penis as well as a pejorative term used to refer to a despicable or contemptible individual. It is generally considered offensive, though in the past it has been used as a term of endearment.

Is very interesting lots of good teams want our players.
There is very little difference in quality between teams like us and teams like Blackburn imo, the Championship is much of a muchness atm. If players want to leave fair enough, especially if its to Galatasaray like MvE but i think our club still has more ambition than most in this league and i am hopeful for next season. We obviously have to get the signings right though.
If the players are thinking short term, this team is a few points ahead of us so i want to piss off there then i'm ok with it, they might regret it and we won't miss many of them anyway.

Like who though? who deserves sympathy?

Agree and it actually doesn't show much ambition on their part

Its all about mentality and culture. Both Robins and currently Lampard (who's only been here 5 mins to be fair) seem to not be getting a tune out of players who are deemed talented - by our peers.

Recruitment looks to have been good. But just not worked weirdly.
Should be evidence to King that you need experience/leaders in a squad to maintain standards, can’t rely solely on coaches or they end up downing tools like they did with Robins

We seem like an absolute mess at the moment. Feels like half the squad have told their agents to try and get them a move this window.
Maybe some of it is driven from our side. Most are on long contracts so we don't have to do shit.

That’s not the case.

Bournemouth enquired about Simms. Some conversation about Billing whilst it was being discussed.

And the conclusion of that conversation was obviously that it was never going to happen because he wouldn’t be interested, we couldn’t afford him and if he was open to a championship move he’d have better clubs after him than us.

Is this cos they think they’re better than they are Billy Big Bollockses? Just odd because ultimately if they want out the situation is mostly their making cos of what happens on the pitch?

Robins warned of this early in the season didn’t he? Saying he only wanted players here who are committed to the project and not seeing us as a stepping stone.

The cup run and performances should have been a massive springboard for this season - the loss of O’hare and palmer surely haven’t had that massive an impact as they seem to.

Last time that happened Bobby Gould took over from Dave Sexton. 4 years later we won the FA cup with a team which started to be put together the following season With Peake Mcgrath and Gynn and Bennetts dancing feet all coming in the 1st season .

To be honest I would get rid of anyone who wants out , and also anyone who is not good enough - albeit not sure that would leave us with any players

It's probably a bit of both to be honest. In terms of I suspect Lampard and his staff have probably had some tough conversations with certain players over the past weeks and has identified those which either aren't good enough or just aren't the right fit to move on.

But also there will inevitably be players which just want to find new clubs as expectations haven't been met, which to be fair is their prerogative.

It won't be a case of everyone jumping ship to save themselves. As poor as this season is, we're not in that bad of a situation.
