I'd argue that given Holding hasn't played in two years, Bindon is 19 and has never played in the Championship, and Helik was relegated last season, it's not even a guaranteed upgrade.
Not guaranteed i suppose, but i'm probably taking not guaranteed, may or may not be bollocks vs known bollocks.

The fact it’s the 9th January and the only rumoured activity is outgoings should alarm everyone

Or have we plugged all the gaps in the recruitment department. Recruitment seemed to be a close shop between Frank, Doug, Dean and the scouts so perhaps they aren't letting anything slip on incomings at all.

Also all the outgoings, bar Lats, has come from the buying club. Kitch came from Blackburn side, Haji came from agent, Milan came from Turkey, Binks came from Stoke.

Doug was seriously pissed about the Browne/Stamenic debacle in the summer. Browne not coming because it was leaked we were after Stamanic as well, who then played us for more money at Forest and we ended up empty handed.

When you look at who’s in contention and that we’re miles away it really does highlight how this group has thoroughly shit the bed. Which should be a red flag to interested clubs.

I think you're probably right with some of them thinking they're better than they are/agents blowing smoke up their arse.

Although I have some sympathy as they would have been sold the promotion dream like all of us.
I’m not sure I have much sympathy. What has stopped the promotion dream from happening? Largely their poor performances. As a squad we have underperformed, and a number of those trying to jump ship will have under performed individually too. They must be sat there thinking everyone else is the problem… what a bunch…. ffs

Not sure BTA is 'needless' though. I see him as a useful squad player who can fill in anywhere across the front line and be relied upon to put in a shift. He's not a nailed on first choice, but in the current injury situation it's good that he's available IMO.
His inability to hit a barn door with a banjo has cost us points already and he just seems to be getting worse. Reminds me of Max Biamou with worse shooting accuracy

A couple of WhatsApp groups I'm in are alight that two signings (most likely Holding and Bilek) are done and will be announced before the weekend. Anyone heard similar?

Not sure if any of the ITK’s have heard similar, but have heard Lati out is all but done, and the fee is pretty good.

You sure your Whatsapp groups don't just read stuff on here and run with it? I know that happens a lot.

We need to offload quite a few, in my opinion Dasilva, Latibeaudiere, Collins, Tavares are all an all absolute drain on the clubs finances. We may get lucky earning £2 million for the 4.

Now for me Kitching and Binks are both players who I feel aren't at the level. I'm selling 1 and keeping 1 until the summer. We need a player that can fill in when we are desperate. I would keep hold of Binks and looks to shift Kitching, again if we get £2 million that will be a good business.

Sheaf, arguably one of our most underrated players over the last 2 years, it's only since Hamer and Gyok left we seen Sheaf steady our midfield and be a real important player for us. The last 6 months however Sheaf has suffered numerous niggles and injuries, he is clearly not fully fit, and his performances and confidence clearly reflect this.

I would want to keep Sheaf, once this season is over and he gets a proper rest to heal up and then a full pre season to gradually build on his fitness and regain his confidence I know for a fact Sheaf will once again be the talent we all know him to be. The problem however, Sheaf is likely to run his contract down and move on for free, and it's because of this I'm cashing in. If we can get £8 million then we can walk away happy.

MVE- in my eyes this is a no brainer, keep keep keep! He's the best right back in the division, he has had a poor season, but so has the entire team. MVE given his poor season so far is still better than most in his position. If a club wants him, we must stand our ground. £12 million pound at the minimum is the valuation for a well rounded, lighting quick player that only turned 24 in September.

Haji Wright - not much is needed, he scores goals when he plays shit, he scores goals when he plays well. There really isn't a conversation to be had if a club offers less than £15 million. 35 goals and assists in 67 appearances for Coventry city, the club prior it was 36 goals and assists in 64 games. If we can't keep hold of Haji Wright we more than double our money, it's as simple as that.

Bobby Thomas, Torp, Asante are players I'm not entirely convinced are up to it, but I'm keeping hold of these players hoping they improve or they will be back up options.

Ellis Simms - not a huge fan, again similar to Wright 6ft3 you're not getting much hi intensity pressing from a man that size, they aren't blessed with Haalands genetics to be able to play off the defenders shoulder like a Bassette while also being physically stronger than the defender marking them. We need to give Ellis a real run of games, 10-15 games and then see where we are with him, it might be he ends up with 7 or 8 goals and then all of a sudden he's an important player for us.

Strongest backup forward we've had and very useful (proven) at chamionship level.
