Who’s the CM we are interested in Jimmy? That’s not the Chelsea lad
I don't have a name, was only told the positions of the 2 players we were talking with. That was CM + RB.

He hasn't heard anything about Sorba Thomas, or that Ahmad Ghali we were linked with.

He's not heard anything yet on any wingers we may be speaking with, though i've seen a couple of times Lampard has mentioned that position specifically, so could be an area they are wanting to look at.

Said we may get our wish with regards to experienced CB, but that will depend on movement out (Lati).

Told me about the loan approach for Kitching, which we rebuffed and Lati possible outgoing.

I see Tyler Morton started for Liverpool yesterday, was he the player we had lined up on deadline day ? Assume if the Rak Sakyi links are true we’re not going to look at that again.

I was only talking about it yesterday. Agreed it seemed we were completely over awed.
I also agree with whoever posted on here the other day…if Hamer hadn’t been injured we’d have won it.
Spot on, completely over awed. BNC pretty much only positive from 1st half. So lucky only 1.0.

Hindsight, should have gone 2 up top from start, to negate Luton long ball diagonal they just played at will.

Yep hamer stays on pitch, we win it, no doubt.

We got schooled first half though. Luton completely battered us first half

Good loan?

He lost his place at Christmas and couldn’t get back in.

And now he can’t get minutes at Kilmarnock

You’d hope it’s a recall to get him minutes elsewhere or get him gone, instead of being part of the squad

He featured 35 times for a kid on loan at a decent level I do think that’s good.

Whilst he didn’t set the world alight he got minutes and exposure at side who missed out by 2pts on the playoffs.

That’s better than what a lot of the other loanees have had out at clubs in recent times.

They did. But as said hindsight allowed them. Playing Vik on own allowed there centre half’s to each have freedom unchallenged to launch long balls which we’re causing carnage.

2nd half 2 up top, meant we occupied that, and the quality of the balls was more hurried. Anyway, long gone now, sadly.

Leaving Rovers just 12 months after joining …. Despite some people insisting he should never have been allowed to leave Cov.

Played 1 minute of first team football this season hence asking to leave and will be closer to his home

Heard something?
Someone I know mentioned it on Friday, who knows it's not like he's signing for a fee, he will join on a free.

Work under Lampard or move up north and sign for Sunderland is what I was told. Keep an eye out for this one tho, this is the sort of player we would bring in, develop and make a profit.

He's not gonna come in tho and be an instant hit, decent young player with much more left to learn and build on in his career. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this did end up happening tbh.

Seems a good shout, was one I punted earlier but think it would mean we would need to shift to a back three to get the best out of him as a lwb.

Maybe when Wright and EMC is back we could line up in a 5-2-3 like he did at Chelsea?

Tyler Morton would be absolutely perfect! Hinted that he’s going to leave Liverpool……highly doubt he’ll end up here sadly

Contrary to the masses, as time ticks by, I actually don't think we need to bring in many or even any, part of the problem is we've been overloaded in some positions and have rotated players and positions too much which has not allowed anyone to settle. Lampard has only been in for a few weeks and is still reviewing the resources he has at his disposal. In my opinion, the players are a talented bunch and just need to settle down, gain some continuity and confidence.

Lati is a good professional but I think him leaving could help settle things down in both defence and midfield as we can stop trying to slot him into different positions and instead leave the others to build partnerships on the pitch, it will take time and require enough patience for the players to own their mistakes when they happen. For example, a back two or three made up of Thomas, Binks and Kitchen, I think will become pretty strong once they get a run of games together, and while we still need a stonger midfield, I really rate Torp, especially as he seems to have become stronger, more physical, and vocal, he will only improve. Rudoni clearly has talent and works hard, and isn't afraid to get stuck in, while Eccles is steady and reliable as is Allen, but neither are quite dynamic enough to lift the teams performance level or be match winners, and thats what we need. Add an experienced head into the mix and we've got a talented midfield.

Losing Lati and Sheaf (more likely to injury than sale) could actually change the dynamics and help to balance out the team, clearing the way for other players to step up and take responsibility.

Then all of the forwards, including BTA, have a lot to offer in my opinion, I think we have a good mix talent, it's just finding the right combination and sticking with it for a run of games.

The only thing we lack is experience and some belief, but this only comes with time, I also think the players need to back each other more, and build some spirit. If we add anything it needs to be this, and preferably in a CM position to help steady things.

To me this is transition season number 2 followingon from last year where we probably overacheived, and therefore the less in and outs the better, just the addition of one or two calm heads to pull it all together, I think next season we'll see a different team.

I also think Lampard has a point to prove and that we could be the team that turns his management career around, I like what I've seen from him so far, his passion is something we've lacked for a long time.

Whether you guy's agree is your opinion but some of the abuse and knee jerk reaction towards the team and especially particular individuals is embarrassing and naive. It's also pretty clear that some of the apparent ITK info is at best made up of 5% truth, 95% fantasy to fuel egos, 2+2 does not equal 5.

Nothing happens overnight in football and nobody is an instant and consistent success, so as frustrating as it is, we have to be patient in the knowledge that the skillset is there we just need to manage it properly to acheive success.

Whatever way you look at it, we are in a much better place than we have been for years especially when you compare the players we have now to those a few years ago, we should recognise that fact and get behind the team and management, including the owners.
It is a transition period now, but it should not have been. Virtually same team that did well last season until we ran out of steam. Sure we lost O'Hare, but before his injury EMC was starting to fire. Tatsu injuries have not helped.
Sometimes losing your best player weirdly helps the team, but Sheaf on form has been one of our best players for some time, which is why he is the first name on the team sheet when fit (and apparently not fully fit).
I agree, confidence and continuity are what missing.
Disagree about passion, you do not have the success we have had the last seven years without passion.
Last night, we really did show the grit to allow us to play football. Win the battle and you are halfway there. Props to Lampard for that.
